Growing up you had a pretty simple childhood. You were the eldest among two other siblings and your parents were hard working people.

At school you were semi-popular too, which was comforting. Having plenty of friends really made your childhood great. And, you had one very special friend.

You thought he was bullied by the boys he hung out with, considering the way they acted with him. But when you were there he felt better. If they picked on him, you wouldn't have any of it and defended him.

He always was so passionate about monsters in the cartoons you watched, you found it fascinating. He would talk on and on about them and you would always be listening with a big grin plastered on your face.

You and him grew up together and went to high school as best friends, linked arm in arm. Unfortunately, leaving the hell hole you spent all your teenage years in... you left as strangers.

As the years went by in high school, you watched as the boy you once knew grow into a delinquent nobody but you liked. Your small but loveable friend group of girls never took a liking to him yet you didn't think much of their thoughts.

You knew him better than anyone, so what would they know?

In the last year of school however, he disappeared. It honestly broke you down completely. Your childhood best friend had been erased from your life in the blink of an eye.

You couldn't contact him, he was never at school, he wasn't at his house, he wasn't at the dojo he always went to. Gone.

You had to pick yourself together after he left and of course you had the help of your girls.

The police looked for him as he was "missing" yet days later wrote it off as a murder. They didn't do anything and he was seen as a hooligan too, which made them careless about finding him or the alleged 'killer'.

Eventually, you left school, got an apartment, got a job and just generally grew up. All was normal. Your days were repetitive and boring.

But that all changed when you came to a conclusion, it was a big idea but if you worked hard enough your plan would be bullet proof.

Becoming a hero. Not just some simple class C or B, but a high ranking class S.

The power you would have! You could find him, your best friend! You know he isn't dead, how could he be? It was impossible.

And with that, you worked extensively hard. Everyday. To the point you became careless with your limit and safety. You pushed and pushed to the point you caused yourself danger.

On a restless night, you thought it would be a good idea to go for a run. But how wrong you were.

It all seemed fine. Running with the cold wind flying passed you as mild rain fell down from the sky. The atmosphere was peaceful, or at least inside your head.

Music was blasting through your ears, as you were much too oblivious to the storm above you getting worse and worse.

The strikes of lightning came out of no where. It struck once. Then twice, which was much closer to your sweaty self catching you of guard.
Causing your poor, tired feet to slip and fall.

The pain was one of the worst after that.

A third strike crashed down upon you. The loud bang silenced your thoughts as you felt electricity coarse through your body. You had an aching pain all over which grew worse every second.

You were all by yourself at who knows what time, with an excruciating pain inside you.

Never in a million years did you imagine a thunder strike be so painful. Would you even survive this?

You attempted to open your eyes, and as you did you were greeted with your body shaking vigorously. You had never been more scared ever in your life than then.

Red static began jumping from limb to limb all over you. Your body slowly but surely began to calm down and the pain turned into a numb sensation. You could barley hold your eyes open but you watched as the red light flew around you.

It was mesmerising. It made you forget the pain you went through. You felt a strange feeling over your body as the electric strikes ran across you.

Suddenly, it all went. The sensation, the light, everything.

As you stood up, you looked at your surroundings. Trying to make up for what had happened to you.

Everything felt so surreal.

You wanted to get home as soon as possible. And away from anymore thunder strikes.

You began running in the direction of your apartment, when you once again got the weird feeling in your legs. When you notice it you look down to see your very own legs moving at an incredible speed, with the same red static circling them.

In shock you immediately come to a stop. Looking down, the red lightening leaves your body as well as the feeling in your legs.

"What the fuck?!" You blurt out in utter confusion and disturbance.

You look up to see yourself outside the front of your apartment block. As the building towered over you, you walked inside still in shock.

A bewildered expression painted your face as you watched your feet stomp up the stairs. What was happening to you?

Thoughts raced through your head. You felt fine but did you need a doctor? It's not normal to have electricity inside you is it?
Then again, it's not normal to have monsters attack your city every month.

Days had passed since the 'incident' and you had not worked out or anything. You were too afraid to. And sadly, you thought it would be the end of pursuing your dream as a hero.

You felt hopeless giving up so easily over something unexplainable. No one would believe you if you tried to tell them what happened, so why bother?

Wandering into your messy bedroom, you were getting ready to sleep. You had a long day of work and another long day tomorrow.

Your plan was to take a quick shower then bed instantly.

As you walked across your room to get clothes, your foot was caught on something lead on the floor. You felt yourself tip forward.

Yet, to your surprise you felt your hands pressing against the floor holding yourself up, in a push up position. The red static you saw those few days ago was back and around your hands.

Watching the phenomenon, you wondered how long it would stay. Which made you realise, this thing has helped you quite a bit.

You didn't die from that thunder storm, and you also did have any injuries. It made you run unbelievably faster too.

Is this thing a super power you somehow have? You cant lie, it is pretty cool.

Years from that moment had now passed. You were now a hero. Class S rank 7. The lightening that had struck you all that time ago had helped you become the strong and independent person you are now.

You were admired as a hero, and you had made lots of great friends in the business. But your closest are the class S rank heros, of course.

Your hunt was still on for your dearest friend. What made it difficult though was... you don't remember much about him.
Lots of time passed and your memory of your twin flame had faded.

But that wouldn't stop you. You still had plenty of time and places to search.

And so you searched.
