Sonja did her normal paces to get her body acclimated back to Eastern Standard time. She did make an appoint for first thing Thursday morning then went back to bed.
Two days later she made her way to the D.C. NCIS office. "Agent Percy. I was surprised to hear from you" Agent Jethro Gibbs bellowed.
"Well, I have something for you. I am sorry that I cannot give you all of the details, but I have a letter for you. It is from Jack Sloan."
Gibbs was glad that he was sitting down because he certainly would have hit the deck. He had worried about her every day since she left the Department.
I cannot tell you where I saw her, but I will tell you this. Jack save the lives of me and my team. I cannot tell you how kind she was to me personally. I had no idea how we were going to get out of that mess, but she got us out. And to tell you the truth it was because of the training she must have had. I felt secure to have to depend on her. I can tell you that she looked well. She told me that she had lost ten pounds, but she looked good Gibbs."
Sonja rose from her chair and stretched out her hand and watched as Gibbs extended his as well. "Wait" she said as she stopped withdrew her hand. "I am supposed to give you one more thing" as she walked closer. "Jack asked me to hug you and tell you that she loves you and that she misses you."
Sonja moved back and then quickly turned toward the door to save Gibbs the embarrassment of the emotional reaction that she saw erupting on his face. Percy caught herself smiling several times throughout her workday. She was, however, very anxious to get home to her exciting husband.
"What is going on with you City Mouse" Lasalle asked his wife. "You have been smiling like a little kid all evening."
"I am just happy with myself" she replied. "I was blest to be able to bring a message of pure joy to someone today. My body is telling me that I need to go to bed. Would you care to join me?"
"That wifey, is a given" Lasalle smirked as he took her hand and led her to their bedroom.
