It booms on the speakers, loud and clear, he had made history and it was there for everyone to hear
Ming Yoongi coming in for second!
The announcements continue to pour in, and soon enough, it's time for the press conference. To Namjoon's worry, it all goes well, Yoongi doesn't mess anything up and answers everything as professionally as possible. Except, the only worry of the two managers is how the racer duo is going to handle things by themselves.

Yoongi lays his back upon his couch and sighs, reflecting on the hard loss he took after five years of straight wins. He isn't used to it, that's for sure and he doesn't know what he's going to tell his family.
Will they be disappointed in me? Is all he can think.
He picks up his phone and dials a number.
"Hey Geumjae."
"Yoongi! I watched your race today, you did great!"
"I lost though, isn't that—"
"You lost and so what?! You got second anyway."
"Yeah but I slacked of this time didn't I."
"As long as you enjoyed it nothing else matters, don't you think? Doing what you love?"
"I mean yeah but—"
"Don't reason with me, I'll tell mom."
Yoongi chuckles. "She'll shatter your phone yelling at me."
He can hear his brother laugh on the other side of the line.
"You did great bud, congratulate your teammate, I bet you haven't done that yet."
"Mans a bitch."
"I-"
"No congrats from me."
"Winning isn't everything."
"Yeah I know but he's annoying."
"Have y'all fought?"
"Have we fought? The fights we've had the whole year had Namjoon exploding everyday!"
"Yoongi..."
"Okay, listen, I may have been a little rude."
He's met with silence.
"Okay fine I was pretty mean but he deserves it."
"With that mentality you'll lose every year, you should congratulate him, get yourself a boyfriend while you're at it."
"Fine. Wait wha—"
"Get some rest Yoons, you deserve it, goodnight."
"Night, say hi to mom for me"
"I will." He says last and then hears the beep of the end of the call.
Yoongi keeps the phone to his ear, as if he's still on a call and lays there. He misses his family, four months is too long since he last saw them and the call he had just had with his brother made him realize just how much he missed them.
He tries to shake the thought off and ponders on the idea of congratulating Hoseok. Maybe he was a bit too rude to him, maybe he should at least give him something to show he isn't that much of a bitch.
Yeah... good idea.
