[Chapter nine: A solution]

"I'm being blackmailed too, Yoongi."
Yoongi pauses before replying.
"No, no you're not, stop playing around Hoseok."
"I'm not, I promise."
The other slowly backs away, back into the living room.
"This isn't funny, whatever information you're trying to get out of me won't work."
Hoseok steps forward. "Yoongi listen—"
"Stop!" He raises his hands in front of him, slightly quivering which makes Hoseok stop his tracks. "Are you behind this too?! Are you seriously going this low?" He feels his legs go weak and he falls onto the soft chair behind him.
Hoseok doesn't know how to answer.
Does he really think that low of him?
"I'm not going to do anything to you." He finally replies. His voice is softer and he slowly walks up to the other's distressed body. "I promise."
Yoongi can only bring himself to look down, wide-eyed at the floor and the event of Chanyeol's threats come constantly replaying back into his head.
As the other comes nearer to Yoongi he doesn't think of what to do next, but instinctively bends down onto his knees, now seated in front of Yoongi and he places his hands on his shaking shoulders reassuringly. It didn't matter if they were rivals right now, he needed to take care of something serious.
Yoongi doesn't even realize he's crying until he hears Hoseok speak. His tears drip from his eyes and drop down towards his lap and he feels so embarrassed, crying in front of the worst person he ever think to cry with. But although he feels extremely humiliated, he can't help but feel as if a huge weight had been lifted from his shoulders.
"I'm not behind any of this." Hoseok says, looking at him. "I want this to stop as much as you do."
Yoongi doesn't reply.
"It's horrible, all of it."
"H-Hoseok." He manages to stutter out, his voice desperate.
"Yes?"
"But- I- He said not to tell anyone. Please don't—"
"Nothing's going to happen to you, I'll make sure of it."
He nods quietly in response, he feels so relieved, so thankful.

After Yoongi had calmed down a bit, Hoseok sat down with him and discussed what exactly they both had been going through, and what exactly they were being threatened by. Hoseok was distraught to hear it was Yoongi's own life that Chanyeol was threatening him with.
They both came to the conclusion that they'll both tell their managers— Namjoon and Jungkook, and they'll both handle this as confidentially as possible. They couldn't risk anything leaking out to the public, for the sake of their own, and other's safety.
Before Yoongi had left, Hoseok gave him a small snack before leaving, throwing him a tangerine before he walked out the door, and he seemed pretty enthusiastic about him, judging by the happy smile on his face.
Hoseok thought it was cute, but don't tell anyone.
