Chapter Two

That night, William didn't sleep much. He's been in love with Dio for so long, and now Dio's the one to approach him. Sure, he was only in it for a quick fuck, but the feeling of Dio being that close to him, and in him, made him overjoyed. After Aaron interrupted them and Dio left, he didn't see him for the rest of the day. He wanted nothing more but to be close to him. Feeling his warm breath on his neck, soft lips on his own, combing his fingers through his long hair. Would Dio ever say something about earlier when they see each other again? Would Dio even speak to him, just thinking he was just another whore he hooked up with? He brushed these thoughts aside and eventually fell asleep. The next day, his alarm didn't wake him, but White Lily did. She was banging on the door in almost a panic. "William, please get up. You've overslept." She whisper-yelled. Will sat up and realized the power went out that night, so his alarm was off. "Did the power go out?" Will asked, quickly putting on a shirt. "Yeah, it did. I didn't want you to oversleep." White Lily responded softly. "Well, there's no need to sound so frantic." "I wasn't sure how hard I had to knock to wake you up, sorry." She giggled. They walked to the local sandwich shop for breakfast before class. "So," White Lily started, "Why did you think you were gonna be late for our lecture yesterday?" Will tried to think of an excuse but she immediately picked up on it. "Just tell me. I can tell when you're lying either way." She stated, nibbling on her muffin. "Well, uh, you know Dio, right?" He stuttered, "Well, in between the, you know, free time area thingy, he stopped me in the hall to my dorm and we, uh, y'know..."  White Lily sat there, shocked. "And he approached YOU?" She spat out. "Yeah. Apparently, he heard some of your teasing about him to me, too. Bitch." He laughed. She laughed with him and they finished their breakfast.

While walking down to their next class, they saw Dio in one of the halls. As they walked past, he sent Will a wink. Will smiled back and kept walking. "I feel like an eighth-grader. I'm a grown-ass man getting this little schoolyard crush on some whore who'll probably forget about me within the next 24 hours." Will sighed. "Grown-ass man? You're only 19." White Lily laughed. He frowned at her, which made her laugh even more. After their class, they went their separate ways. White Lily had a study partner that just so happened to be her girlfriend, Whiplash. William envied White Lily cookie, because she and Whiplash have been together for two years, while he hasn't even gone on his first date. He didn't really have anywhere to be, so he just wandered the halls of the school. It was a big, fancy school, built in 1988. It's easy to get lost in the beautifully built place, with its short but fruitful history bursting at the seams. While walking, he ran into Dio again. "Oh, hey," Will said, surprised. "Hello. How are you doing today?" Dio responded with a smile. "Well, nothing right now. White Lily is studying with her girlfriend, and I've got nothing to do, so I'm just, y'know, hanging out." "That's nice. Whiplash is her girl's name, right? I knew her in high school. Small world, hey?" He snickered. William nodded. Having an actual conversation with Dio felt nice. "Sorry we got interrupted yesterday. That fuck Nermal is so impatient. That lazy bastard couldn't even show up himself, he had to send Aaron. So, how would you feel about continuing that tonight? I'm a little preoccupied right now, but I'll give you my number if you wish." He said softly. Will was flustered but tried his best to seem normal. "Sure, that sounds good." He stammered. Dio smirked and wrote his number on a piece of paper from his pocket. "There you go. Feel free to call me up at any time after four." He added, giving him the paper and walking away. Will waited until Dio turned the corner to let out a small excited sound. He immediately added his number to his phone then texted White Lily. 'He gave me his fucking number holy shit' he texted, fingers trembling with pure bliss. He continued his walk down the halls in a much better mood. He knew, without a doubt, he was still madly in love with Dio. 

Later that night, at around five, Will picked up his phone and tried to call Dio. He wanted to continue what they did the previous day, but he wasn't sure what to say. He wanted to feel Dio close to him again. Suddenly, he got a call from White Lily, and he picked up. "I'm so so so so sorry that I didn't answer earlier, but you got his number!?" She exclaimed. "Yeah, right as you called I was trying to think of a way to message him." He replied awkwardly. "I don't think it'll matter to him in the long run, 'cus, y'know, but just, like, just say hey then pick up a conversation from there, I guess?" She suggested. "Man, you're dogshit at giving advice, but I guess I'll give it a try." He thanked her, then hung up. He did what she said and texted the word 'hey'. He felt like a child, but the idea of seeing Dio again that night excited him. Not too long after, Dio responded. 'I'm in the building rn, coming up the stairs rn. what room you in again?' He texted. '403' Will responded. 'alr I'll be there in a sec' Not even two minutes later, Dio was there, knocking at the door. He invited him in, and the same things as the previous night unfolded, but this time without interruption. Every second they were together, the more their worries faded away. The only thing on their minds was each other. Even though he couldn't tell at first, Dio was slowly falling in love with William. He's fucked plenty of people in the past, but this is the first time he's felt an actual connection. His relationship with Will felt more than just another hookup. He wanted to be closer, to start something genuine and loving. Neither of them wanted that night to end.
