"Due to pandemic, I wear mask in summer."
—maxi
We're supposed to have fun,
Sweating ourselves under the sun,
Scorching our skin until dawn,
But ended up with forlorn.ii
Can't go out due to an outbreak,
Stranded in a dark cornered deck,
Wearing a discomforting fabric,
Instead of diving in a shipwreck.
Peace in times of summer,
That's what makes us flutter,
But the virus is still not in slumber,
No choice but to wear our protector.iii
Let's sacrifice our days of fun,
Be at home while chasing the sun,
Let's be safe and cancel the plan,
For masking ourselves needs to be done.
We'll just pray and wait for miracle,
Wishing to end our obstacles,
Hoping to touch the sand's dusts,
Unchain ourselves in the cage of masks.
