Chapter 5

Vale's Point of view

"Flight attendants/passengers, prepare for take-off please." Anunsyo ng piloto nang eroplanong sinasakyan ko, I'm heading to Cebu para sa bagong Mall na ipapatayo namin doon, and of course what do I expect? Ako ang ipinadala para tignan iyon dahil wala namang iba na may gusto pa bukod saakin, and besides I could take this chance para mag unwind at malayo sa polusyon ng mga tao sa maynila, right, specially to that one specific dumb person.

Sumagi na naman sa isip ko ang nangyari noong nakaraang araw, the second time I accidentally drag Davis into my office, ewan ko ba, hindi ko iyon maalis sa isipan ko, sobra parin ang inis ko sakanya dahil sa bastos niyang ugali, naiinis din ako sa sarili ko dahil sa kagagahan ko. Pero dapat ngayon palang ay kalimutan ko muna iyon, I need to think on how I will manage my time here dahil 4 days lang ako dito at madami akong lugar na gustong mapuntahan. Siguro I'll finish all my works first before I chill, para naman wala akong iniisip na problema. Haa, I hope to have a nice 4 days' vacation.

I'm now in my hotel room that I booked, since I arrived at 10:00 in the morning I decided to rest first before I go to the site. I cleared my mind and let my drowsiness eat me up.

A knock woke me up, maybe it's the room service. Naglakad ako patungo sa pinto at binuksan iyon, tama nga ako, it's the room service, I check the time and Its quarter to 1:00 in noon, pinapasok ko ang mgapagkain at nagbigay ng tip sa hotel crew. I was about to eat and I hear knocks again, sunod-sunod ang pagkatok no'n at papalakas din, I run towards the door and aggressively opened it.

"Stop knoc-" bago ko pa man matuloy ang sasabihin ko ay sumigaw na ang taong nasa harapan ko.

"KYAAA VALEEE!" malakas na sigaw ni Ree at tumalon saakin, sabay kaming napatumba habang siya ay nakayakap parin sa ibabaw ko, "Ree get off, ang bigat mo!" pagrereklamo ko sa kanya at inalis siya sa ibabaw ko.

"Grabe ka naman sa'kin, mas mabigat ka kaya!" pagiinarte niya saakin at hinampas ang braso ko, "Oh shut up, what are you even doing here?" aniko.

"Tss, I'm here to visit my mom's best friend and also hangout with you, yey right?" may ngiti sa labi niyang sabi saakin. I rolled my eyes at her and walk to my dining table, "Yey your face Ree, we're not okay so stop acting like we are." I said as I looked at her, I saw how her expression change in an instant, it's the guilty look again in her face.

"Vale... I know what I did was not okay, so I apologize for how I acted in front of your co-workers and embarrass you in front of everyone, I just can't handle myself at that time, may dalawang anghel sa harapan ko and I got so excited and I didn't know that I was making too much scene. I'm sorry..." mahabang lintanya niya saakin at pinunasan ang luha sa kanyang pisngi, I stood in front of her and hug her, I heard her sniffles and she hugged me back.

"Shh, I know you didn't mean it, alam ko naman na maharot ka lang eh" I chuckled.

"C'mon, don't rub it in my face!" kumalas siya sa yakap at mabilis na kinuha ang pagkain ko, "Oh this is delicious, call the room service again Noel, dali!" aniya, natawa nalang ako sa kanya dahil sa bilis ng pagbago ng mood niya.
