Its Only the Beginning (outsiders fanfic)

Chapter 7

Rachel's POV:

Faye, Soda, Steve and I were on our way to the DX when a nice shiny blue car came up from behind us. "Hey, Greaser!" Shouted one of the Socs. I immediately ran behind Soda scared they'd get me again. They continued to drive by over and over again shouting rude and nasty comments at us. But finally got bored and drove off somewhere else.

Faye an Steve were a good bit ahead of me and Soda. So when Soda started talking to me I was sure they couldn't here it. "Hey Ray, try not to get all shaken up by those guys, as long as I'm here they won't hurt you I promise!" Soda smiled and looked deep into my eyes.

"Pinky promise?" I said with a giggle. "Pink promise" Soda said while chuckling. "Ray there's something I've been meaning to tell you. Rachel I really li-"

"HEY SODA GET OVER HERE!!" Steve yelled from inside the DX.

Soda groaned then we proceeded to head in the DX. But in the back of my mind I couldn't help but think what was Soda going to tell me.

"Hey Soda bad news Stacey quite and we have no one to work the the cash register."

"Aww man really?" "Yeah bud"

"I'll do it!" I said with a lot of enthusiasm and confidence in my voice. "Really that's great you can start now if ya like" Soda said overjoyed. "The work outfit is in the bathroom" said Steve

When I tried on the the outfit you could tell the were trying to attract customers preferably teenage boys. The shirt was cut very high showing most my stomach and my belly button ring. And the shorts were a little to short. I was a little scared to walk out the bathroom with Soda and Steve out there. "Ray come on the shops opening up!" I heard Steve yell. I slowly opened the door feeling very self-conscious.

I heard a bunch of wolf whistles coming from the back of the shop. I whirled around quickly. The whole gang just had to show up at this moment didn't they! "Alright, Alright I know Ms. Rachel looks very pretty but Soda and Steve y'all get back to work or no pay check this week!" Said the owner. Soda and Steve left to head out back to work on the latest car. The gang also left having better things to do I guess.

Today was a very slow day I. You could here Soda and Steve joking in the back.

Ding! I heard the door to the store being opened. I put down my magazine and looked up to be greeted by of course a Soc and not just any Soc, the one and only Bob Sheldon. "Hey hot stuff" he said with a disgusting smirk. I did my best to ignore it and be nice since he is a customer. "Hi how may I help you today?" I said with a fake smile. "I'd like a little slice of you today" he said coming a little to close around the counter. He backed me up against the wall while i was trying to push him away. "Help! Soda, Steve, someone!" I yelled tears streaming down my face while trying to kick Bob off me! "Stop get off me!"

"She said to get off of her you creep!" I heard Steve yell

Steve pushed Bob off me and chased him out the door. Soda ran to me and asked if I was all right. "Rachel! I am soo sorry I'm such an idiot I promised you nothing would happen! I swear I am never going to leave your side again." Hearing his voice calmed me down and I just started laughing. Soda looked at my oddly then just went a long with it and started laughing.

I noticed I was laying in Soda's arms looking in his eyes. "Rachel there's something I need to tell yo-"

"OMG RACHEL ARE YOU OKAY?!?" I heared Faye yell

Soda groaned again muttering something I couldn't make out. I just laughed and stood up being tackled in a hug.

ATHORS NOTE: sorry I haven't updated, been very busy!!! I am such a procrastinator I had a project due Friday and I didn't start till Thursday night and I was freaking out. Any way hope you like it!! Comment what ya think!!!! Stay gold my lovelies!
