orange hair, red eyes, fire ... she can't be-

"keiko? what are yo- watch out!" megumi's eyes widened as he yelled, warning the girl about the incoming curse.

darting her head back, keiko swiftly dodged the swats that the curse was throwing at her before she shot another ball of flame from her hand. seeing as the curse had just regenerated its eyes, keiko swung her spear forward in an 'x' shape, not giving it another second to react before she sprinted and lunged herself into the air, then diving again to retrieve her spear which had pierced through the curse's face.

"where's the finger?" keiko spun back towards the injured boy so he could hear her, but was soon after interrupted when she heard a manic yelp from behind.

the pink haired boy known as itadori yuji had joined the fight, again, throwing heavy punches and kicks towards the curse but in vain due to his lack of cursed energy.

"you should take your friends and get out of here!" megumi yelled out.

"but i can't leave you out here to die as well!" itadori called back, quickly dodging another attack but failed to see the girl that had joined the fight.

"you can't defeat it! only a curse can exterminate another curse!"

as itadori had kept his focus on launching his next attack, he was careless and left his side unprotected, only for the curse to catch him and for the cursed finger to slip out of his grasp.

without a second to waste, keiko launched herself forward again, channeling her cursed energy to light the blade of her spear on fire. she sliced at the curse's legs and leaped into the air, angling her spear to cut the curse right at its core. the only thing that was holding her back from finishing it off was that itadori was caught in the middle, being swung around violently like a puppet. if keiko missed her shot she would kill him too.

and the next few moments played in slow motion.

catching the finger between his teeth, itadori recalled what megumi had explained about the cursed object.

'eating the finger will allow one to level up their cursed energy'

how can i save people like that? i need my own cursed energy!

and there it goes, itadori had tossed the finger into the air again and this time he knew what he needed to do.

keiko watched in terror as the events before her unfolded.

what is he-

"idiot, don't do it!" both keiko and megumi called out after realising what the pink haired boy was about to do, but a second too late.

itadori had swallowed the finger.

losing her momentum, keiko had fallen hard onto the ground, hitting her head and causing it to start spinning as her vision deteriorated.

ryomen sukuna's finger is a special grade curse, it's poisonous so he'll die. but what if-

megumi's thoughts were cut off as itadori had freed himself from the curse's grip, completely destroying its arms in the midst of it. landing just a few feet away from the two injured sorcerers, black markings formed on itadori's wrists while the curse furiously charged at him.

and with a single swipe from itadori's hand, the curse was obliterated.

there was an eerie silence, the ominous moonlight had once again casted itself upon the trio, giving light to the infamous markings that had formed on itadori's face and both the redhead and the raven had their widened eyes fixed onto the nightmare they knew all too well before them.

first it was a snicker, then it escalated into a full blown cackle.

"the moonlight is supposed to be felt!"

the air had turned sinister as he ripped off the hoodie on itadori's body.

the king of curses, ryomen sukuna, had been incarnated.
