third person pov

a day had passed since the big reveal keiko gave to yaga and gojo about her clan and the two adults weren't too sure what to make of it either.

"we'll keep the higher ups in the dark about this for now." was all they could say.

a loud thud had awoken keiko from her slumber as she jolted up from her bed, as murmurs echoed from the other side of the corridor. slipping on her bedroom slippers, keiko shuffled out of her room to find megumi, itadori and gojo all gathered outside the raven's room.

"what's with the ruckus?" she grumbled groggily while rubbing her eyes and all heads were turned to her.

"what did i tell you about wearing pants koko?" the redhead had showed up in her pajamas, which was just an oversized t shirt covering her cotton shorts, exposing her bare legs. megumi had immediately turned his head away, hoping that the morning sunlight seeping through the windows would mask the pink tints on his cheeks.

"oh! it's the girl from the other night! is she a student too?" itadori cocked his head, he still had a hand rubbing his swollen cheek as megumi had just slammed a door on his face.

"oh i didn't know you're not introduced," gojo stretched his arms out towards keiko as if presenting her to an audience. "this is mizuki keiko, your fellow first year!"

"hi! i'm itadori yuji!" the pink haired boy cheerfully greeted.

"yeah i know," she flashed him a tired wave before gojo interrupted again.

"ANYWAYS! we're going out tomorrow! we're gonna get the final first year student."

the three first years were gathered at the entrance of the school, ready to head to harajuku station to pick up their last classmate.

"you're kidding me.." keiko trailed off after the trio had arrived at the train station, the sound of utter disappointment laced her words, causing the two boys to stop in their tracks.

the girl's shoulders dropped as she sighed, "gojo just sent me a mission in ueno, guess i won't be joining you guys today."

itadori pouted, "i was hoping to hang out with everyone today."

megumi, on the other hand, was a little more concerned about keiko going on a solo mission.

"what's the mission?"

"i have to investigate an abandoned carnival on the outskirts of ueno, based on gojo's reports, there was a fatal accident three months ago killing four kids. no one has set foot there after that. there's been a spike in cursed energy too so i guess that's what he wants me to go check out." keiko shrugged.

the raven wanted to offer his help, but swallowed the thought as he recalled how keiko had held herself while fighting off sukuna just a few days ago.

she can handle herself, she'll be okay.

"megumi?" the girl caught him deep in thought.

"be careful, there's probably a number of curses roaming around." he warned.

keiko let out a soft chuckle, giving the raven a reassuring pat on his arm as she turned towards the train, "thanks. i'll be fine."

and then there were two.
