The Final Battle

Gail has repaired the bus as everyone in the Safeway start loading up into the bus. Ally and Ellis arrive with the completely full tanker.

"Ok, we seem to be making good time. But this is where we must part ways." said Gail

"What, why?" Ally asked

"I can finish the job. you should go with them." said Gail

"Like hell." said Ally

"Excuse me?" said Gail

"My brother never ran from anything. And he risked exposure to humanity to save me. So I'm not running from this." said Ally as Ellis walks over to them.

"Ok, the bus is full. You ready to go Ally?" Ellis asked

"I'm not leaving, not yet." said Ally

"Are you serious? We need to get out of here before that monster gets here." said Ellis

"I'm staying here with Gail and I'm finishing this." said Ally

"I'm not leaving you here, not alone." said Ellis as Gail puts her hand on his shoulder.

"I promise you, she'll not be alone. I will protect her." said Gail as Ellis looks back at Ally.

"Just make sure you come back, please." said Ellis

"I will. Now go, get these people out of here." said Ally as she hugged Ellis. Ellis gets on the bus and gets in the driver's seat. The bus starts up and drives off. Ally and Gail get in the tanker.

"I like your boyfriend. He cares for you." said Gail

"He's not my-" Ally is cut off.

"Trust me, girlfriend, I'm almost sixty years old and I've had my fair share of relationships to see the spark of one." said Gail as Ally chuckles and starts the tanker as they start driving to Pilot Butte. They continued on Highway Twenty until Gail starts to hear something.

"Stop the truck now." said Gail

"What, what's wrong?" Ally asked as Gail covers her mouth.

"Stay quiet." said Gail as they hear the sounds of wings flapping. Ally looks at her rear viewing mirror to see the machine being carried by Xion in his kaijin form.

"We're too late. I have to get you out of here." said Gail

"But what about the plan?" said Ally

"The plan was to keep you safe." said Gail as Ally quietly opens the door. Ally and Gail move away from the tanker and hide behind a car. Xion sets his machine down on top of Pilot Butte and activates a button on the side. Xion then gives out a terrifying roar as Ally and Gail move to another car.

"Ok as soon as we're clear, we head away from this place." said Gail

"Ok." said Ally as they move again but Ally stops before she gets to the car and notices Xion looking directly at her.

"Oh shit." said Ally as Gail grabs her and starts running, dodging the gravity beams as Gail starts to grow taller due to her transforming into her kaijin form. Xion keeps firing as Gail uses the trees to maneuver away from the beams until she is hit in the back causing her to trip and fall onto a bunch of cars as she crashes into a car dealership. She holds Ally close to her chest to protect her from the impact. Ally, laying a few feet from Gail gets up and rushes to her friend. Gail grunts in pain as she has a burn from the gravity beam on her back.

"Are you ok?' said Ally

"I'll be fine." said Gail as she looks to see Xion standing in front of her.

"Ally, get behind me." said Gail as Ally doesn't move but wrapped her arms around Gail's left arm. Xion then forcefully grabs Gail by the neck and lifts her off the ground, choking her. Xion brings her face up to his as he opened his mouth to see a light building up for an attack.
