Chapter six {Happy Birthday Lucas!}

Once they bought all Jasmine would need for school they apparate back to Gerath Manor.

Five months have passed since they visited Nature Alley and Jasmine was excited that next month she would start her first year in Leonard school for magical creatures.

But today the Gerath household has something different on their minds.

„Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday to you!
Happy Birthday dear Lucas!
Happy Birthday to you!"

Sang Jasmine and Annabelle, both their voices harmonized perfectly. Jasmine's slightly deeper and louder voice to Annabelle's more quieter and higher voice.

„Thank you Anna. Thank you Jas." said Lucas a happy smile on his face.

„Come here let me huge you little bro." said Annabelle while wrapping her arms around Lucas.

Jasmine pouted playfully. She stood up and turned around so that her back faced the both of them, but then two twin gasps were heard from the two siblings behind her and she turned around.

„What is it?" Jasmine asked confused. She could smell that they were shocked but also excited and... proud?

„Look at your tail!" they said at the same time and when Jasmine looked behind her, her eyes widen drastically.

Her tail had now a black tip!

„Holy pepperoni!" yelled Jasmine in shock and excitement. [An: I will not stop with food references... it is only the beginning Muhahahahaha!!!! 😈😜]

How did a black tip got onto my beautiful white tail?! she thought flabbergasted Maybe I should finally read that book on creatures that I bought...

„Let's get to the presents yeah?" Jasmine tried to change the topic.

Stanley chuckled lightly.

„A great idea sweetie." he said while Jasmine handed Lucas her gift first.

„Thank you Jas!" he said as soon as he saw what she bought him. It was a box full of different colored fabric and threads. He loved to sew, no one really knows why because every time someone asked him he would do anything to avoid the question, so they stopped asking.

Jasmines fox ears flutter in joy, while the two earrings Annabelle gifted her were neatly pierced on her right ear (Her fox ear. Since the inheritance she lost her human ears).

Next was Annabelle's gift. In it was a wooden box full of colored pencils.

„Thank you Anna." he said smiling brightly at her. Annabelle flapped her wings proudly.

Lucas, Stanley and Jasmine rolled their eyes at her display, smiles on their faces.

„I think it is my turn?" asked Stanley and handed Lucas his gift after he nodded.

Lucas gasped. In the water filled box sat a beautiful little baby sea serpent.

He petted the little thing after it gave its approval and said quietly „Hello Harley." and a soft violet light bound them together as familiar and human.

$Hello human$ said the snake through their familiar bond. $Hello Harley, please call me Lucas$
$Okay human Lucassss$ replied the serpent making Lucas laugh.

$What species of serpent are you?$ asked Lucas the yellow-ish brown snake.

$ I am a Hydrophissss major, the biggesssst of the ssssea ssssserpent's out there and I am quite poisssssonoussssss and I am female.$ said Harley winding herself around Lucas arm up to his shoulder.

Then the golden light appeared, signaling that the inheritance had began.

After a few seconds the light disappeared, but Lucas still looks well... normal.

That was until he opened his eyes.

They were still a light brown color... but now they were completely brown and if you look closer you would see tiny sparks of gold and blue swirling hypnotic in them.

If you look closer you cold see that on his neck were light blue and moss green scales, that merge with his skin.

„A siren..." breathed Stanley shocked. The last time a male siren was born or came to his inheritance was almost five-hundred years ago!
