The Birth of a Legend

25 Years Later. . .

Goku is seen standing over a grave on a hill. He appears to be holding something in his arms. On the grave is written "Here lies Inko D. Midoriya." As Goku is standing there, tears begin to form in his eyes.

Goku: "Inko. . . Why did you have to go? I miss you so much. . ."

Who is Inko? And why is she so important to Goku? It all started 5 years ago. . .

*Flashback*

A 20-year-old Goku can be seen walking down the street at night. He had just walked out of a restaurant and was heading home, when he passed by an alleyway. Just as he was leaving, a scream for help caught his attention.

Goku: "Uh-oh! Sounds like someone is in trouble! I better help out!"

Goku rushed into the alleyway and what he saw made his blood boil. There, on the ground, was a pretty green-haired woman. Standing over her were three men with lecherous grins.

Man #1: "Come on, girlie. We're not gonna hurt ya. We just want to show you a good time!"

Woman: "Get away from me! I have no interest in being with pigs like you!"

The tallest of the three gained an angered expression when she said that.

Man #2: "You insolent wench! I will teach you your place beneath me!"

He raised his hand to smack her and she closed her eyes, bracing herself for the impact. But it never came. The woman opened her eyes to see Goku standing there, the thug's hand in his grip.

Goku: "Didn't your mama ever teach you it's wrong to hit a woman?"

The thug's eyes widened in surprise, before they turned into ones of fury.

Man #2: "Who the hell are you?! L-let go!"

Goku grinned, but if you looked closely, you could tell he was furious. He tightened his grip on the thug's hand, nearly breaking the bones, causing him to whimper in pain.

Goku: "I'm Goku! Anyway, this lady doesn't look like she wants to be with you, so how about you just go home?"

The first two thugs were visibly confused when Goku introduced himself, but the last one, maybe the leader, narrowed his eyes in suspicion at his name.

Man #3: 'Could it be?! No, it couldn't! The real Goku is a beast of a man, strong enough wipe out entire towns on his own! Besides, what would he be doing in a tiny town like this?!"

Man #2: "I don't give a damn who you are! Let go of my hand and mind your own business! That whore is ours, so just leave!"

Goku grinned even wider, but this time the thugs were beginning to be afraid. Even though Goku was smiling, he was releasing a massive amount of killing intent. His grip tightened on the man's fist, who fell to his knees from the pain.

Goku: "People like you really piss me off. . . thinking of women as nothing but objects. . . I'm going to teach you a lesson."

After he said that, Goku grabbed the thug's wrist and threw him into a wall. The other two thugs were shocked at the speed and strength he had displayed. The first thug got pissed.

Man #1: "How dare you throw my brother into a wall! I'll make you pay! RRRAAAHHH!!!"

The thug pulled out a knife and charged at Goku. Goku caught the knife between his fingers and punched the thug in the gut, who fell to his knees from being winded. Before he could recover, Goku had already kicked him in the face with his right foot, sending him flying. The last thug was pissing himself from fear at this point. After Goku had displayed his martial arts prowess, he had no doubt that this was the man everybody knew and feared. Goku looked at him and slowly began to walk towards him. The thug fell on his butt and started crying and pleading with Goku.
