Chapter 2

~*3rd Person PoV*~

May stared at the two- her rival and the blond girl. As soon as May finished her noodles, she quickly payed and ran outside, peeking over her shoulder as she went.

~*Drew's PoV*~

This girl seems... perfect. She's cute, fashionable, and super nice too.

She's a top coordinator too. But she comes from Kalos, and went to Kanto and Johto before she came here, to Hoenn.

Elli. She's... she's really impressed me, that's all I can say.

I can't stop thinking about May. She must  have a boyfriend by now. She's like, 17. If she still doesn't, well she has to hurry put because she's almost 18 and she'll not have a partner and not get qualified as a "real" adult.

Ugh, why am I thinking about her, she's useless and a big mouth. Why should I be thinking about her when I can think about Elli?

~*May's PoV*~

Drew... he seems older now, more mature. I can't say he's less smug, though. Or smart-aleck for that matter.

I just hope he won't notice me spying... It'll cost me alright.

I just can't stand the fact that they're sitting beside each other.

I looked at them one last time, just to see the girl flirt with Drew, and ran back to the hotel I was staying in.

Today... the Petalberg city contest... I need to get up and traaiiiiinnnnnn............................

Ugh, I can't stay awake. I couldn't sleep. I really need to train hard.

~*3rd Person PoV*~

"Wartortle, use water pulse!" May's Wartortle created a large, water-filled ball and sent it spinning across the field. "Now use blizzard!"

Wartortle started up what seemed like a storm of snow pellets hurtling towards the blue ball of water. As the snow hit the water, it burst, and a shower of sparkles and snowflakes fell gently to the ground.

"Wartortle, well done!" May praised her Pokémon, "Here, have some Pokéblock."

May laid out her hand and dropped a few pieces of Pokéblock onto her hand. As Wartortle happily chowed down on the Pokéblock, May couldn't stop thinking about Drew and the mysterious blond girl.

Well, looks like Drew's finally found himself a girlfriend, May thought.

~*May's PoV*~

Wartortle's now better than ever. Maybe even better than drew's Absol. Maybe not. I don't know. But I better train harder. That girl seemed like a Pokémon contest coordinator, and she also seemed pretty strong.

She's probably also a fangirl. Probably. Maybe. Not. I don't know. Whatever. I shouldn't be thinking about that stupid grasshead. He's just someone who needs to get out of my life. But I can't. Stop. Thinking. About. That. Damn. Girl!
