Bella pov: the night after arriving back at Hogwarts

As I lay awake in bed I thought over the entire holidays. It was not fun at all. I hated Draco at the moment and I was thinking of all the ways I could get revenge when a noise interrupted my thoughts.

Screaming erupted from someplace in the tower, I sat bolt up, as did Ebony. The other girls woke and we all went down to the common room, terrified by all the screaming. Ebony grabbed my hand and squeezed it reassuringly. Most of Gryffindor was down in the common room. Harry and Ron came quickly down the stairs,

"What's happened?" Hermoine asked them,

"Sirius Black was in our dorm," Ron asked, his face was as white as a sheet and he was very stiff.

"We have to tell Professor McGonagall," Hermoine told them, I sighed and went to go back to bed,

"Come on," Ebony hissed in my ear, "I want to see Potter and Weasley get in trouble," I groaned as Gryffindor trudged down to where the teachers slept. Harry knocked on McGonagall's door and she came out a few seconds later,

"What is happening?" she asked,

"Sirius Black was in our dorm," Ron repeated,

"That's preposterous, Weasley," McGonagall scoffed, "How could Sirius Black possibly have got through the portrait hole?"

"I don't know how he got in!" Ron sighed, "I was a bit busy dodging his knife! And this bloody cat ate my rat!" he groaned, Hermoine's cat was rubbing against her leg,

"That's a lie!" Hermoine gasped,

"It is not and you bloody well know it!" Ron fought,

"Silence!" McGonagall yelled. She scoffed, she began walking back to Gryffindor tower. We all followed McGonagall back to Sir Cadogan, who had taken the Fat Lady's job.

"Sir Cadogan," McGonagall said, waking the painting, "Is it possible that you let a mysterious man enter Gryffindor Tower tonight?"

"Certainly, good lady!" Sir Cadogan replied, "He had the password. Had the whole week's, in fact. On a little piece of paper,"

"Which abysmally foolish person wrote down the passwords and then proceeded to lose them!" McGonagall asked the group. Every eye shifted to Neville who went the colour of the red pyjamas he was wearing. "Is it always going to be you, Longbottom?" McGonagall sighed,

"I'm afraid so, ma'am," Neville replied,

"While we know Sirius Black is gone tonight, I think you can safely assume he will, at some future time, attempt to return," McGonagall now spoke to the entire group, "Let me be clear. You are not to move about the castle alone. And you are not to write down the password! Understood!" Everybody nodded, including Ebony and me, "Very well then. Go to bed,"

"Finally!" Ebony groaned, stepping through the portrait hole and going back to bed, "Wasn't worth it," she sighed, running up the stairs and flopping back into her bed.

A few months later

Ebony pov

"Relax... let your mind... go," Trelawney's annoying fucking voice tried to soothe the class. I was almost asleep, leaning against my hand so I didn't fall onto my desk. Bella was rolling her eyes every 5 seconds as she stared into the crystal ball,

"Crystal-gazing requires that you clear the Inner Eye," Trelawney lamented, "Only then, will you... See. Oh my, what do we have here...?" she went over to Harry's ball,

"Here we go again. It's the Grim! It's the Grim!" Hermoine mocked the Divination teacher. Trelawney narrowed her eyes as she turned to face Hermoine,
