It was utterly revolting to watch Kars, one of the mightiest on their homeland, get reduced to nothing but a servant, at that wenches every beck and call. Even worse, she'd given him a name different from his own, something that practically dehumanized him; Esidesi shudders as he hears it echo from the beach, the disgusting, degrading pet-name still setting his emotions ablaze even as he was deep in the jungle.
"What a good dog."
A dog! A dog! That bitch thinks of him, his brother, as nothing more than a mutt! She won't even consider him a mere person like she, for in her eyes he must be something below her if he is to be so kind! The nerve!
Esidesi, of course, didn't much approve of his interest even at first, though he at the time felt like he had no say. There will be people he won't like, there always will. As long as his brother's happy, yes?
But honestly! Must he have fallen for such a little, fucking-
"Ah, my queen! Please, your hand is--"
Right. He also calls her his queen. Of course he does. Why wouldn't he.
Wamuu, Kars' other sibling of three, didn't hold a strong opinion on the marine like Esidesi, though it didn't mean he was approving of her either.
As long as his brother is happy, he says, then there's nothing more to it; Though he does still have trouble ignoring the way she treats him, day and night.
To be fair, maybe he does deserve the title of her 'dog', especially when he willingly acts like one-- Always running around and fetching her this and that, obeying her every order like it was a command from god.
Santana, the youngest brother next to Wamuu, was only curious, and understandably so. Could that woman possess some sort of power to make people bend to her will? He thought of such ridiculous but justified ideas every now and again. Did she enchant Kars to make him behave this way? No-- Maybe she drugged him with something from the forest! Those mushrooms can be potent!
Regardless, he doesn't jump to conclusions, as tempting as it may be. Instead, he watches from afar, even at the present, studying her and everything she does. Maybe he'll catch her in the act, doing whatever it is she does to make Kars keel over like a pet.
From what he could see behind the arms of the tree he hid in, (Y/n)'s finger seemed to be bleeding profusely, a small knife gripped in her other hand.
"Honestly, you should've given me the fruit to cut," Kars huffed, snatching her bleeding hand into his own, "Now look at what's happened!"
"It's not like I'll die-- though it could get infected.." (Y/n) mumbled to herself. "I don't trust the water here enough to rinse it clean just yet, and I'd rather not waste my drinking water on a wound so small. Say, care to make yourself useful for once?"
Santana didn't much like where this was going, though found himself intrigued nonetheless.
In one swift movement, she managed to snatch his jaw in the same hand that was injured, the thick blood pooling from her index finger dripping onto his lips. There was a slight squeeze on his jawbone, a subtle order to open up, and he gracefully obeyed; allowing her to slip into his mouth, and let him "clean up" her little mistake.
What a pitiful sight, a king among men, reduced to a dog. Perhaps that's why she called him that.
"Be gentle, puppy, or I might start thinking you enjoy this." (Y/n) laughed the same way thunder shook the sky, and mocked him like a king might with a jester. "Good boy. Think you can take two?"
Before he even had time to respond, her middle finger slid between his teeth and joined its neighbor atop his writhing tongue, gliding deeper and deeper into his throat as the seconds passed. Another test, was that what this was? Yes, another test of resilience! It must be!
That would be what Kars had concluded, while in reality, she just liked seeing the face he made as he struggled to please. His eyes bore tears, and his face was flushing red, the slightest of gags repressed in his eagerness to show his capability; This would be the second time she asked herself this, "How much will it take until he breaks?"
From the first experiment, the answer was more than obvious, and that would be nothing, for Kars is the last person someone should expect to give in.
How curious, Santana thought as he studied her treatment, that she fed him her blood... Ah, then that must be it! Maybe because he's drunken her blood, he's become infatuated, like it's some sort of hallucinogen or poison!
Though, that would mean he must've also had some the moment she arrived, and there's no possible way that could've happened... A bit more research should be done before jumping to conclusions.
"Does it hurt?" (Y/n) grinned, watching as he shook his no despite the obvious struggle. "Good. It feels much better now, thanks to you. Go get a palm leaf and some twine."
A little too forceful, she ripped her fingers from out his mouth, allowing himself a moment to collect himself as he coughed and heaved in breaths, before racing along to find what it was she asked for.
Honestly, he must only be behaving this way because she looks like... Ah, nevermind that. 'I should be getting back home,' Santana tells himself, 'all other thoughts can wait.'
'Home' is just a few huts huddled together in a choppy circle, tucked deep in the jungle like a dandelion behind overgrown grass. Kars lives in the largest one, which as impressive as it sounds, is only a meter or so larger than the rest. Esidesi lives to the left of him, and Wamuu to the right, with Santana facing it straight-on with nothing but a large fire pit in-between.
Only four huts, there should've only been four huts he could return to.
So why are there five?
