Grace bolted out into the kitchen, "Alright, I'm ready to help with breakfast!" She put her hands on her hips to show her mom. Her mom nodded, and motioned for her to come stir the liquid. Grace nodded and moved the wooden spoon in a circular motion. "Whats up with you?" Grace's mom asked. Grace showed a sly smile, "Today is my birthday!!!" She shouted, "And you said, 'Once you turn 16 you will go out of town with me'." The smile on her face was huge, it was so bright that you needed sun glasses to look at her. Grace tilted her head back down to the pot, "So, can I go out with you?" Her mom stared at her for awhile. "Yes, I think it's time you knew how to do things." She said.
She turned around and grabbed out plates. Four of them. She turned around and smiled, "Oop! Silly me!" Grace watched her as she put one back. Grace turned around to face the pot once again, and thought about her younger brother. So playful, she wished that she wasn't so harsh on him. But most of all she wished for him to come back.
Her mom picked up the pan with the meat, and slid one piece onto everyone's plates but Simons. She walked over to Grace and picked up the sauce, "Good job on mixing, I can't see anything." She said while walking to put the strange sauce on the meat.
"Breakfast is ready!" she called out, A voice from her fathers work area yelled back, "Okay be out there in a minute!" Grace could hear the typing from his work room. She sighed and sat down at the dinner table. Feeling sad about everything she didn't do.
Melissa walked with Grace to a shop, thats when she saw a child out of the corner of her eye, she stoped then Grace stoped. "There is a child over there." Melissa looked down at Grace, "We should go help her." The cold tone of her voice made Grace insecure. She turned to go over to the child, and started walking. The child looked up at Melissa and smiled a weak smile, "C-can you help me?" The child said. Grace smiled at the child the same time that Melissa did. "Yes we can." Melissa said. "What is your name?" She said as she picked up the child. "Julia." Melissa smiled, "What a wonderful name..." And the child was beautiful too. Maybe she could be Simon's replacement.
Once they arrived at the house, Jeremiah was waiting at the front door. "Yes or no?" Melissa asked, he moved in closer top find a beautiful child in Melissa's arms, He pulled back her hair to only find a strange sign. He looked back up at Melissa and shook his head no. Melissa slowly walked into the house. Grace followed her with a confused look on her face. "Grace I need you to come to the attic with me."

Grace followed slowly behind her mom up the creaky stair case. Why is mom taking me here? And why is she bring the child? After Grace made it to the top of the staircase, she saw her mom put Julia on a table. But it wasn't any table. This had blood on it. Blood from old to new. Grace gasped at the sight of this. Suddenly the door to the attic slammed, she looked down to find her father. Only... It wasn't her father, he was a monster. Grace walked up against the wall to avoid him, ¨MOM!¨ she yelled but instead of hearing her mothers voice it was wrong. Wrong in a way that she couldn't describe it. She felt a pain of her head and every thing went black.
Grace woke up feeling weird, she saw a blurry ceiling above her. She heard nothing as a chill ran down her spine.
Grace tried to sit up as she took a deep breath, but wait. What was is pain she was feeling? She looked down at her legs and screamed in shock. How was she still alive? The blood pooling out onto the table. She could see the muscle poking out of what remained of her legs.
Grace had to hold back a scream by covering her mouth. She whimpered sadly and started to cry. What did everything have to come to? Grace thought. It was all so perfect before... When Simon was still alive.
Thats when she heard footsteps coming up the stairs, the pound of every step made her shiver. Soon a head popped up out of the stairwell, it was Julia, the sweet girl from before. ¨Um, I came here to help you...¨ She said. ¨I escaped them and I ran up here to help you.¨ Grace smiled with glee, ¨Okay, but the problem is, I can't walk.¨ Grace said, the smile from her face drifted. Julia's smile also left her face. ¨But you have to get out of here before they do something to you.¨ Said Grace, she knew that they would take no hesitation to killing this innocent girl.
Julia nodded and ran back downstairs, the sound of her footsteps soothed Grace knowing that she was leaving safely. She could even hear the front door open, knowing that Julia was making it to safety. Then another set of footsteps came up the stairs. It was her not-mom, she moved slowly up the stairs, Grace shivered as she didn't know what was coming next.
Soon her mom made it up stairs that weird creepy smile on her face. ¨Well, Well, Well, I guess you woke up early.¨ Her mom said as she slowly walked towards her. ¨Now, you have a big choice to make dear...¨ Her mom kept on moving in closer to her. Soon she was close enough that the black goey stuff in her mouth started to drip on Grace's shoulder. It felt cold as stone when it started rolling down to her hand. "What is my choice I have to make?" Grace said, she looked up into her mothers dark eyes. From what used to be a slight tint of purple, to blackness. "You can either live and carry on our religion or die." She said her eye's squinting in joy. "I'd rather die!" Grace yelled at her mom. "So be it." She said and turned around.
Suddenly, she swung back around extremely fast and tried to slash Grace with her claw.
Grace close her eyes waiting for impact!
But... she never felt it. She couldn't run away. She couldn't do anything to save herself. But some how. The impact never came. Grace opened her eyes to see a window. A small window at the top of a stair case. She was outside. She didn't know what was going on. But there was one thing for sure.
Grace Elivest was dead.
