Val's POV:
I woke up to a red, tear stained face. My head has been lingering on the thought of that mystery guy I saw last night, after the party.
I made my way to the kitchen, passing by the hallway full of pictures aligned against the walls. The memories floating around my head as I looked at the pictures of Calum and I. My eyes started tearing up at all the memories we had together. I can't believe Calum would do this to me after 3 years of a relationship. I thought he was different. Guess I was wrong, he's the same just like every other boy.
I look at the picture I loved the most. It was the first picture that we took together as a couple. I remember it as if it were yesterday.
(Flashback)
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I looked at the caller id and smiled when I knew it was him calling. I answered immediately and greeted him with a hello.
"Hi babe,wanna get some coffee?" He asked me.
"Sure Calum can you pick me up at 10 so I can get ready." I replied.
"Sure see you then." With that he hung up the call.
I quickly got out of bed and rushed into the bathroom. I took a hot shower and began getting ready. After several minutes of rushing around my room, I finally finished. I looked at the mirror one more time actually satisfied on how I looked, and grabbed my phone and shoved it in my purse. Right when I left the room, I hear a loud honk come from outside. Perfect timing I thought. I ran outside, making sure to grab my keys and opened the car door. I greeted Calum with a kiss on his right cheek.
"Hey babe" Calum said with a toothy smile.
"Hey Calum how are you doing?" I questioned him.
"I'm doing great now that you're here" he cheekily said while grabbing my hand and giving it a little peck.
I smiled at his gesture and how cute he always was. The car's engine roared to life, startling me a little and Calum started talking about some store as he drove to Starbucks. I leaned my head staring at the view of the fresh start of summer in front of me. I noticed that Calum would give me quick glances here and there, but turned his gaze back to the road before I could catch him looking.
We arrived minutes after to the location and Calum ran to my side of the door and opened it for me.
"My lady" he said bending down, kissing my hand in the process.
"Such a gentlemen" I said with a giggle.
Calum laced our fingers together and we walked into Starbucks. I went to look for a place to sit, while Calum went to get our drinks. Calum approached our table setting our drinks on top of the table sitting in front of me. Calum began cracking lame jokes and of course I laughed at how ridiculous they were.
"I have a question to uh, ask you Val" he started with a worried expression.
I gave him a confused look wondering what he had to say.
"I really like you val and I want to be with you. I want to spent the rest of my life with you. I want to make you smile and laugh, make you happy when you're sad, I want to be the one you come to when you're dealing with problems. I wanna be with you Val. So what do you say, will you be my girlfriend?" I could tell Calum was extremely nervous to know my answer, but when I responded to his question it all went away.
"Yes Calum, I would love to be your girlfriend!" I said while hooking my arms around his neck.
Without a sign of hesitation, he pressed his soft lips onto mine. Our lips moving in sync. When we pulled away calum pulled out his phone and opened the camera app.
"What are you doing, Cal?" I asked him confused.
"What I can't take a picture with my girlfriend?" he laughed.
We both smiled at the camera and Calum shot the picture. I noticed that after we took it he put it as his phone's lock screen.
As we sat there Calum was telling me stories of his life as a kid. We were laughing so much by now that it hurt to move. When I stared at his beautiful caramel brown eyes I knew that I was falling for him already, and I was falling hard.
(Reality)
I came back to my senses and shook the thought out of my mind. I wiped of the tears that spilled from my eyes with my pale fingers. I heard the door bell ring downstairs and made my way to the front door. Who could that be, I thought to myself. I opened the door in a slow manner. When I made eye contact with the person behind the door, a shocked expression fell over my face. What the hell is he doing here?
