"Speaking normally"

Thinking in thoughts

'Talking on the phone'

"English"

In the previous chapter:

Then we started packing up and I walked Tobi-chan and Sho-chan. "Hey. I've been meaning to talk to you two about something." I throw the duffle over my shoulder.

"About what, Akira-san?" Sho-chan raised an eyebrow.

"It's about our blind-quick attack and phantom-quick." Yes, we had found a name for my quick attack since people kept saying it was hard to follow.

"What's wrong with it?" Toni-chan questioned sternly.

I wave my hands around in the air. "No! No! That's not it. It's the code for it."

"There's nothing wrong with it. We all know it." The ravenette argued.

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "You see, that's the problem. Everyone knows it. What if someone started learning our codes, just like if someone noticing each time we make eye contact. That just gives away our attack strategy-"

"It's fine. We don't need to change it." Tobi-chan interrupted me. He then walked away with Sho-chan trailing him.

Don't come at me when it fails.

Something New:

Akira POV

Squeals.

That's all that was heard.

Stupid fangirls.

Our team stopped at the sudden noise and looked to the next court.

"Oikawa-san!"

Aoba Johsai vs Omisaki.

23-14.

First set.

They  were beating by a landslide.

I felt a strange aura next to me and looked to see Nishinoya-kun and Tanaka-kun looking pissed at the other team. Maybe the attention he was getting from girls?

Ah, look. It's a playboy brunette. Greattttt. Another Ryo-chan. Just what I needed.

--------------

We then later went up on the seating area to watch them play. It had some time after we ended our match. Aoba Johsai took the first set and moved to the next, then Oikawa-san made another service ace for the fourth time.

Currently, they were ahead by a lot.

21-10.

"His power goes without saying but that control is pretty nasty, too." Coach Ukai mentioned.

"Eh. But Akira-san can do it too, right?" Sho-chan looks at me with pleading eyes.

I keep my gaze down to the court as I respond. "Actually, I can't do that."

"What?! I saw you do that when showing how to direct my power!" Tobi-chan interjected.

"What I do is spin the ball in a direction, so it makes it harder to receive. I can't aim and serve. I try my best to hit that area. Sometimes, it does happen, but not always." I tell them. I feel like I'm forgetting something, but I can't put my finger on it. What is it?

"You know, setters... are like orchestra conductors. Even if you have the same song and the same orchestra, if the conductor is different, the sound is different." Coach explained.
