"Speaking normally."

Thinking in thoughts.

'Speaking on the phone.'

"Talking in English."

In the previous chapter:

"Hello, senpai. I'm outside, do you mind showing me the rooms quickly, please?" I asked pleadingly.

I heard from the other line some muffled words, before hearing her voice once again.

'Ok, I'll be meeting you at the door.' She responded back.

We then cancelled the call. I played with my thoughts, bounced on the heel of my foot, and then began to whistle a random tune. Turning my head to see the glass door open with Shimizu the entrance. "Welcome back, Akira." She greeted me with a slight smile.

"It's good to be back, senpai." I gave her a closed-eye smile with my bag hung over my shoulder.

I felt the cool early night breeze over my shoulder and made my hair flow in the wind. The gold-yellow morning light lit the horizon as I started walking inside the building. Hearing the doors close behind me, also the faint sound of the squeaking of shoes, the sound of the volleyballs hitting the ground, and the yelling of all the players. This is going to awesome!

"So..." I looked at Shimizu with hoping eyes, "how are our two idiots?"

Developing Skills:

This training camp would be the one before the spring tournament prelims. This was the time before the hard competition began once again.

"We're playing against Fukurodani right now." Shimizu broke the silence. We had reached the rooms where the female managers where going to spend the nights together.

This was going to be cozy.

"We are, huh?" I nudged. I unrolled a futon that she gave me and place my bag along side it. Grabbed my gym clothes and knee pads.

"Yes. This is our..." Shimizu pause for a second, "third match since we arrived here." She mentioned.

After I finished changing, we both headed toward to gym where everyone was located at. We walked in silence. There was little to nothing to say, but we both knew that the was our chance to catch up. Nothing needed to be said after that.

As we reached the gym court, the time was around 10:30 in the morning. The first time I saw as I walked in, was Tobi-chan overpassing the set to Sho-chan. That's a first. He's never missed a set ever before. My mind was trying to figure out why he would change his set plans, especially now.

But what surprised me more was when Sho-chan extended his left arm and hit the ball over the net. That earned a point for us.

"Nice, Hinata!" Tada-chan praised Sho-chan from the bench.

"He used to panic if anything was off." Suga-san mouthed. That was also true, he's not wrong.

"Nice Shoyo!" Noya-san exclaimed.

Both of them looked at each other, the two crazy first-years. Aren't we all. And in that moment they knew, and so did I, that they were different than before. Which meant I have to get in sync with them soon. Or else I would be left behind.

The score being 05-09, with us losing.

I made my way over to where Coach and Takeda-sensei are sitting down, same with Yac-chan. She was the first to notice me. "Ah! Kira-chan! You arrived." She jumped and hugged me. Then Coach and sensei acknowledged afterward. We then sat back down and watched the ongoing game. It was Azumane-san's turn to serve, unfortunately, it went out of bounds. Shimizu-senpai and I wrote in our journals.
