Chapter 15

Triggers- Techno violence

**Third person POV**

"Ranboo grab Punz, we're meeting in Origin's center, the Pub, along with your brother and your Father's army. Wilbur set off this area to explode according to Tubbo, so we will head there." Sam says as he ties Eret's hands behind his back.

"I should go and help..." Ranboo starts.

"No. Your duty is to your Kingdom first. We need you to lead us. Right now, you are the only acting Royal. Technoblade hasn't had the title in too long. You must remain down here."

Ranboo sighs but he knows that Sam is right. "Okay... Let's move out team, the center of Origin is not set to explode, the outskirts of Origin are. Let's move inwards." Ranboo grabs Punz and begins dragging him.

"The thing I don't understand is why? You've been loyal to this Kingdom for so long. Why betray us now Punz?"

"I'm not telling you anything your
highness," he says mockingly.

"Fair enough. You'll spend the rest of your days in prison then."

"You won't win. You can't beat him. He's insane and smart. He knows more than you think he does." Ranboo's stomach starts to churn at the thought of Tubbo. He shakes his head and continues towards the Pub.

"Techno! I'm glad you're okay." Ranboo says while weaving through the crowd to meet his brother after he drops the prisoners off with trusted soldiers.

"None of us have encountered Dream's army it's almost as if he's not even here. Did you encounter anyone?" Techno asks as he puts a hand on Ranboo's shoulder.

"No. Just met with two traitors. Punz and Eret."

"Perfect. We have someone to question." Together they walk to where the two prisoners have been secured with their hands tied above their heads against posts. "Where's Dream?" Techno asks nicely, at first.

"Currently? Murdering what you call a King." Eret spits out. Technoblade just stares for a minute before he punches him hard in the face. Eret tries not to react but fails as he feels the pounding in their head. The blood runs down the side of his face as Techno grabs them by the hair.

"Where is his team?! Where are they hiding!?" Eret responds by spitting in Technoblade's face. He wipes off the mixture of spit and blood. If looks could kill, Eret would be dead. "I'm going to ask one more time. And if I don't get the answer I'm looking for. I'm going to break your hand. Snap it. Like a twig." Techno lowers himself to stare straight at Eret. "Where is Dream's army? And how did he get in to this Kingdom?"

"Hah. You don't scare me Tech-"

"Wrong answer." The sounds of cracking bones and screams echo throughout the Pub. "Want me to do the other one?"

Eret's breathing begins to pick up and she quickly shakes her head no..."I don't... I don't know okay? We weren't told anything!"

"See that's where you're wrong. You may not have been told anything, but I've been taking note of a certain someone's reactions this entire time. Answer my questions Punz, or I promise, you will face a worse fate."

Punz clenches his teeth, knowing that there's no escaping this one. He just hopes he gave Dream enough time to react. "They didn't go over the walls."

Ranboo furrows his eyebrows, "what the hell do you mean? If they didn't go over, how did they-"

"They're underground..." Technoblade interrupts. "He knows about the TNT. He must have planted more... How much is there?!" Technoblade yells in Puns face. "I don't know Blade! There's definitely enough though." Punz smiles maniacally.

"We need to get everyone out, now. He wouldn't blow up the castle he needs it.... Everyone!" Ranboo announces. " We need to go back to the castle now! Move out immediately!" The army quickly begins grabbing their materials.

"Ah ah ah. Unfortunately, you can't leave." A deep voice echoes through the pub.

"We have you surrounded." Another voice sounds.

"If you don't let us pass, we all die!" Ranboo yells to the voices.

"No. That's where your wrong. You die. Dream has a trick up his sleeve. He always does." A man with black hair and a bandana jumps down from the rafters, sword in hand.

"We're not going down without a fight." Technoblade says as he grabs a hold of the rafters and kicks Sapnap into the door.

Ranboo feels a presence running towards him and he quickly turns around, his sword clanging with George's.

Philza swoops in to the open cave. It's not very big, it's a small area that has one end open and a button on the other side that Wilbur is seconds away from pushing. "No stop!" Philza yells while holding a hand out in a stop signal.

Wilbur turns quickly, "Dad..? What are you-"

"Wilbur. You can't push that button. If you do-"

"If I do Dream will finally be gone! We will have won! I need to press the button." He moves towards it once again.

"Everyone will die! Your brothers will die. Wilbur please. Focus on me." Wilbur stares at the button, his fingers brushing it lightly. Philza makes sure to not make any sudden movements. He's moving slowly towards his son. "That won't just kill Dream, it'll kill Ranboo... And Techno... And Tubbo... Wilbur this is not the way to fix things-"

"Well maybe it is! Maybe just MAYBE we should all start thinking a little more rationally!" Wil turns around dramatically. "Who cares about everyone dying, as long as Dream's dead!? You think I'm crazy, you think I'm insane! Well Philza Minecraft, I disagree. I'm thinking clearly for the first time.. I know what I must do!" He faces the wall once again, staring at the button with an almost hungry expression.

"I don't think you're crazy Wil. You're a good person." The rocks crumble underneath him as he continues to slowly walk forward. "You care about this Kingdom. You love your people. You're going to make an amazing King someday. I believe this to be true... But I need you to step away from that button Wil. Take a step back and think more clearly." Phil slowly pulls on his son's shoulders until he's pulled him far enough to embrace him.

Quiet, muffled sobs can be heard, "I'm sorry..I just.. I'm so sorry."

"Shh. Don't apologize, you were just doing what you thought was best. I love you and I'm here for you. I'll always be here for you." They hug each other, neither one speaking, just being happy in each other's presence.

"Oh what a touching Father, Son moment! Almost brought a tear to my eye." Both men look towards the cave opening to see a menacing figure with a white mask staring back at them.
