Life Of A Pumpkin

You lie lazily while the birds sing,
you stay this way every day and night,
until a farmer takes you all,
taken away by trucks and vans,
taken to stores for many things.
some to be carved into faces that fright,
some used in treats for all,
some not used by any.
No matter though what their use will be,
all plants start out as a seed,
and grow as a plant in a patch,
until they are large,
and are taken away too.
