We walk deeper into the forest and see two totem poles hanging in the trees.
Chris:" Those are your team totems. You need to cut them down and get 'em in the river, and ride 'em back to the camp ground. First team there gets their pick of the cabins. But hurry - the totems are rigged with bombs that will explode if you don't plant 'em in front of your cabin in seven minutes or less, starting now.
Jo climbs on a rock.
Jo:" All right, let's do this! Yeah! Agghh"!
She jumped onto the trampoline and landed in the river.
Cameron:" Ok, if Jo hits the center of the trampoline with fifty pounds of pressure per square inch--"
Anne Maria:" Back off! I want a crack at this"
She pushed Cameron out the way.
Cameron:" But I calculated for Jo's weight"!
Anne Maria climbs on the rock and jumped onto the trampoline. She hits her head onto the bottom of the totem and continuously hits it.
"Jo, push the trampoline away"
Jo kicks it and Anne Maria hits the ground.
Brick then climbs the rock.
Brick:" Time to win this"!
He jumps on the trampoline and grabs the axe that was stuck to the totem. He starts to freak out.
Brick:" Help, help, help"!
Jo:" Good Grief".
Anne Maria:" Jeesh, what a baby"!
"My goodness"
Mike:" Aww, man! This isn't working! (gasp) gall darn it, cut the danged rope already"!
Anne Maria:" That's what we're trying to do, Mike".
Mike:" Mike?! Name's Chester, missy"!
"Uh, What's that now"?

Mike is sweet and all, but I don't get the old man act. I mean sure it could be funny".

Brick was still there trying to get the axe unstuck. A little creature came up to Brick.
Brick:" go away, shoo! Shoo"!
The creature roars and Brick screams.
Chester:" Back in my day, we didn't need fancy saws and axes to cut ropes. We did just fine with stones".
Chester throws a rock at the little creature. It's eyes turn red. It shoots a laser beam at Chester, he runs off. It's starts to beam at everyone. It looks up at Brick and tries to shoot him.
Brick:" Not the crewcut"!!
It beams on the axe which reflect off and hit the branch holding the totem. It falls to the ground.
Jo:" Yes"
Brick:" Mission accomplished"
The totem falls on Brick.
We all ride the totem down the river.
Jo:" They're gaining on us"!
Brick:" It is my duty to inform you that we have bigger problems".
Cameron:" My first waterfall"!
Chester:" And maybe our last"!
We fall down the waterfall but landed on the ground at the bottom. I lose my grip on the totem.
Chester:" Ah, kids today and their crazy log rides".
"Mike"!
Mike:" (gasp) Y/n"?!
He pulls me back up.
Mike:" Y/n! Hang on tight"!
I wrap my arms around his lower stomach.
"Thanks Mike"
Mike gets a bit flustered.
Mike:" No, problem"
The other team then passes us.
Jo:" Hey! How did they get in front of us"?!
They ended up beating us to the finish line. We were coming in to fast so we all fell off the totem and it landed in the nice cabin. The totem exploded and the nice cabin was gone.
Chris:" Too bad. It had an eight-person hot tub and air conditioning".
The other team groan.
Chris:" Regardless, as the only team with a cabin still standing, the Mutant Maggots win the first challenge"!
We all tiredly say yay.
Lightning:" So where am I gonna sleep"?
Chris:" No worries, we've got a back-up cabin for you. It's every bit as nice as the one you lost.
A helicopter drops a cabin that looks like ours.
Lightning:" Crap"!
Chris:" Team Rat, I'll see you at the campfire for our first elimination ceremony of the season.
~Time Skip to later that night~
The rats went to the elimination and the maggots to the bunks.
Before heading to the female side of the bunk Mike taps me on the shoulder.
"Hmm"?
Mike:" Oh, um. Today was pretty crazy right, with that waterfall and explosion".
"Yeah, pretty crazy.. Is there something you need"?
Mike:"Uh, no. Just wanted to say good night and I'll see you in the morning".
"Alrighty Mike, night night".
He gives a fast wave and into the male side of the bunk. I then head in the female side and continue with the rest of my night.
