Chapter 5

"That he should come with us?"

"I....yeah, how did you know?"

"I felt it."

"But we can't just kidnap him or run away."

"No he has to quit."

"What if we adopt him?"

"What?"

"I feel the urge to protect him, he is like me, but he has no family, we could give him a better life."

"I thought you had enough kids."

"No, just don't want to risk my life again."

"I understand. Should we organize everything when the cruise is over?"

"You want it too?"

"Yeah."

"I'll take care of it."

As I woke up the next morning Mika was already up.

"Hey! What are you doing?"

"I called my mom to get me the info about him and the adoption papers."

"And?"

"The woman she asked said they knew him and tried to find a family, but one day he ran away. She would be okay with it if we could help him."

"Really?!"

"Yes."

"That sounds too easy."

"Nah, it's pretty easy on our planet. We could tell him and ask him what he thinks about it, but if he agrees it will take a few weeks to officially make him a member of our family and take him home with us."

"Well if that's the only problem."

"Should we go tell him then?"

"Yes!"

We went to the lady who did the day trip check in and asked if we could do another trip, she told us that there's a trip to a garden today, so we checked in and waited.

"Hello! Are you ready for todays trip?", the little alien asked.

"Sure."

We got our teleporter bracelets and went down to the garden, it was amazing with huge plants in all colors and forms, the air was a bit different than yesterday, an intrusive smell entered my nose, it made me a bit tired after a while, but I thought it would be the different atmosphere. After a few hours we went to a small store to buy food, we sat down on a big stone and I nodded at Mika.

"Hey ehm... We have to tell you something."

"Okay, what is it?", he asked as he stuffed his mouth with the sandwich.

"We felt sorry for you and your story and that have no family and have to work as a tourist guide and..."

"What would you think if we're your family now?"

"What do you mean?"

"We asked if you like us to adopt you. We informed ourselves and we're ready if you are."

"We could give you a better life, maybe not perfect but better than working on a ship and you would have siblings....and a childhood."

"For real? Are you guys serious?!"

"Yeah."

"That would be amazing! You really want me in your family?!"

"Yes."

"I love you guys so much! I mean dad? Dads? Anyway yes!"

"Great! We will finish everything and in a few weeks you can come to us."

"Thank you! Thank you so so much!", he said with watery eyes and hugged us.

We walked around a bit more and after a few hours we got teleported back to the ship and went to bed. Tomorrow was the last day of our vacation, I have to admit I was skeptical at first but this cruise turned out great. As I woke up the next morning I felt sick.

"Morning."

"Morning. Any plans for today?"

"To be honest I'd prefer to stay in bed I feel sick."

"Oh okay. No problem. Should I call the room service? Always wanted to try that."

"Yeah if you want to. I think I sleep a bit more."

"Okay."

"You can go out if you want."

"I'll think about it."
