'And how did I get into this?' Grayson thought, though he might have the impression that he is calm, he was actually very alarmed.
And he had a very good reason to be. Because he stood before a monstrosity of a creature.
It was very large; its skin was a forest green coloration mixed with some brown. Its overall body was very muscular. Its thick hide was covered in tiny, jagged spines that moved through its back down to its very long tail. But its back was strange.
It looked to be swelling revealing scars that took on a bright red color, a weird red haze was protruding from its face down to its upper back.
Its snout was narrow in shape with its lower jaw being bigger compared to its upper jaw, but both were covered in multiple rows of teeth spreading outwards from the mouth, not only the red haze, but red electricity mixed in their as well. Its legs were massive, but in comparison its forearms were very tiny.
Its appearance was quite terrifying.
However, its looks were not the reason why Grayson was alarmed.
It was because of who was being held captive by the creature that he was concerned.
The monster's glowing blood-red eyes stared down intensely at Rias, who was under its right hind leg. It more than lightly had the plan to eat it, because it had drool spilling from its lower jaw.
Though much to Grayson's bewilderment and annoyance it turned its gaze to him.
It was hard to explain, but it gave him this look, a look that just dared him to try and stop it. It was asserting dominance, trying to show who was on top.
Grayson didn't know why, but a smirk creeped its way to his face, a sensation ran through his body, "..." No words were spoken, and weren't needed, Grayson leaped forward with the intention of both saving the red-haired girl and fighting.
Flashback
Right when lunch had come to an end, Rias had insisted that she show Grayson around the manor or castle. And before he could refuse her, Rias dragged him out of the dining room with her and didn't stop speaking.
She was speaking of many different subjects and seemed genuinely happy to have him as her companion. But unfortunately for her, the boy whom she was talking to wasn't really listening to her.
Grayson was too busy staring off at something, it seemed like he was in his own world. At least until he noticed something touching his chest, he remained silent and removed his gaze from what he was looking at and moved it down to his chest to see a finger on it.
Following the finger to a hand, then a wrist, forearm, elbow, upper arm, shoulder, and then finally the glaring eyes of Rias who was looking up at him making small 'mumumumu' noises.
Grayson would consider this cute, if not for the fact that Rias' body was radiating a crimson-colored aura like the one Sirzechs had earlier when he saw Rias hugging Grayson. "Something wrong?"
"Were you even listening?"
"...No." he had no reason to lie. "Are you upset?"
"Hmph! No way!" Rias stated angrily before she started stomping away from him.
This only served to confuse Grayson, especially since he felt he had not done anything to offend her. If she was upset, why did she say she wasn't, he could only watch the figure of the young girl stomp away with silence.
This however caused something to pop up in his mind.
Venelana's appearance.
She certainly didn't look like a woman who had bore two children. If Sirzechs' appearance was something to go off of, she would at least be in her mid to late forties, maybe even fifties depending on when she had him.

FanfictionA past so terrific that this young boy had to go and make a deal with a creature that many view as a god to forget it. I do not own Highschool DXD, or any music or imagines that might be used, the only thing I own is my Oc's.
