A year, that's how long Grayson has been under the care of Gremory. And during that year, he has been taught various subjects wandering from english to math, even lessons on social economics, which made even Grayson dread as he was confined that it wasn't something he needed to learn yet.
He didn't find them easy, something he would admit, it took him everything he had to just grasp these theories. Grayson had even dawned glasses because he was her sighted.
And even then the only thing that gave him a headache even more than these subjects was a certain red head, whose named was Rias Gremory. She was a high-spirited girl; he had the opportunity to witness that first hand this past year.
Don't get him wrong, she was kind, helpful, determined, her future was just bright.
But his only issue with her: She never left him alone.
As soon as she woke up the first thing she'd do was go find him and cling to him for the rest of the day. She always tried dragging him to take baths with her, which he was usually able to prevent, and escape the envious Zeoticus in the process.
Rias had the usage of hugging him in her sleep, and make him watch these anime shows and read manga books with her during her free time.
Curiosity was a bloody bastard as Grayson liked to put as it once got the better him which led him to ask the tutor to explain the Human World. That moment Rias came barging in and declared that she would teach him about it, much to his horror. The tutor was more than pleased 'Lady Rias' was so 'Proactive' in her learning and let her teach that particular session to try and explain to Grayson what she knew about the Human World.
Needless to explain, she told him things like ninjas, super robots, heroes, and so on.
Grayson sweated at the information, he wasn't sure if it was real or not. Sure Grayson would admit he was no genius despite what people called him he could pick up on things very quickly.
He quickly came to the assumption that Rias herself didn't know much of the Human World, so when she would make unnecessary declarations he would simply ignore her.
They tend to go a little something like this, 'If it's about the Human World, then let me be the one to teach Gray! Don't worry! I know a lot about the Human World. Souji said that if it's the Human World, it can only be a samurai and bushido! So, from now on, we should watch this together!'
Grayson wanted to bang his head as he remembered when Rias made those declarations. He pulled an DVD called 'Rurouni Kenshin' from his sleeve. To be honest the thought of destroying it had crossed his mind several times, but if Rias ever found out, he would have to watch his back from a girl who can shoot destruction that could erase him from existence.
It was long, very, very long he couldn't believe something this small had taken up several days of his times with no near in sight. He felt this 'Souji' was behind Rias' little ideas about the culture of the Human World and made a mental note to ki- have a discussion if he ever met the man.
And as the saying went: If you wanted something down you had to do it yourself. So he would have to take things into his own hands.
So every night he would sneak out and go to the library when everyone was sleeping. One night, he came across a suspicious-looking book, and that was how he entered the book with this ridiculous name.
'The Unchained.'
He certainly wasn't unchained, as he had severely underestimated Rias' sleeping habit. It wasn't like he had any problem with her doing so, its just she did it every night and would cuddle his head to her chest. Now those were the things he had a problem with.

FanfictionA past so terrific that this young boy had to go and make a deal with a creature that many view as a god to forget it. I do not own Highschool DXD, or any music or imagines that might be used, the only thing I own is my Oc's.
