We ran into the town to see all the Halloween decorations alive. Just like the book said. Everyone was panicking, parents were pulling their kids out of the way. While people giving out candy, hid in their houses. 

"Duck!" Sam shouted as pumpkins with bat wings flew over us. We heard something roar and when we looked we all froze. We saw the spider from Mr. Chu's yard, but it was alive. 

"What the..." Sarah muttered in fear. It shot a web out and wrapped up a man. 

"That's Mr. Peters!" Sonny said. 

"Help!" We heard someone shout. We saw a woman, wrapped up in a web, get hung in a tree by the spider. 

"That's Mom! That's Mom! Come on!" Sarah exclaimed. We all ran towards her. As we ran through the street, things tried attacking us. 

"Kids, watch out!" Ms. Quinn shouted. The spider lifted his foot and slammed it onto a car, ruining it. We yelled out. "Behind you!" A mummy ran right past us. The spider started to walk away. 

"Okay, now's our chance," Sarah said. 

"Here's the book" I went to hand it to her, but she shook her head 'no'

"You have more experience with this than I do," She said. 

"B-but, I..." I looked to Will. "Here, Will. You do it"

"No, you can do this, okay" He placed his hand on my shoulder, trying to encourage me. "You got rid of the gummy bears and the skeletons"

"But, that's different!" 

"How is that different?" He asked. 

"There's so many now!" I answered. "I won't be able to do it. Not alone"

"You won't be alone" Sarah reassured. "Will and I will be right by your side"

"...Okay" I nodded. 

"You get the ladder and meet me at that tree," Sarah said to Sam and Sonny. "Wait till it's safe, then go"

"Okay"

Will, Sarah, and I ran out from behind the car. I opened the book at different monsters, sucking them into the book. First two skeletons. Then a werewolf ran at me and I opened the book. But, the blue light didn't shine and he wasn't sucked in. I realized it was a person when he took his mask off. 

"Oh, my God! We're all gonna die! Run for your life! Ah!" He shouted before running off. 

"Oops. Not a monster" I said sheepishly. 

"Wow, you were gonna end our own kind?" Will asked, acting offended. 

"Your kind. I'm still not sure about myself" I stated. 

"You literally can't touch silver," He said. "I'd say you have a little bit in you"

"That's why you didn't accept the ring I got you," Sarah said in realization. 

"Sarah, I was so worried. Are you okay?" Ms. Quinn asked. 

"I'm fine. Just hang tight" Sarah told her. 

"I'm gonna get you down. I promise" I said. "I just need you to trust me"

"Don't worry about me. Run. Hide!" Ms. Quinn demanded. She looked behind us. "Ghost at 11 o'clock!" 

I turned around to see a ghost flying at me. It pushed the book out of my hand and on the ground in front of me. My eyes widened and I quickly rushed towards it. Before I could grab it, the ghost picked it up and flew away.
