diluc and xiao as if they were your pet cat. just some fluff/crack i thought of while at costco <3 gender neutral reader! obviously cat behaviors (mentions of mice and hairballs) and childe slander /j

DILUC:
• a gentle sweet cat • he doesn't bother you when you're busy, only going towards you if you look tired/want some comfort or if your hands look free to pet him • sleeps on the corner of your bed at night and wakes you up in the morning by pressing his paw gently onto your shoulder. if that doesn't work, he meows and licks your cheek until you giggle awake • while you eat he climbs into your lap, choosing to take a quick nap until you stand up and make him freak out from the sudden movement. he forgives you when you put down your plate to lean down and apologize, hugging him and rubbing your cheek to his head • hides when your friend childe and kaeya come over. he stays under your bed and refuses to come out, hurting both of their inner ego. he only comes out when you stick your arm under your bed, calling "lulu" in the sweetest way possible. however, he lets lisa, jean, and albedo pet him (sometimes he curls into albedo's hair) • only meows when you're the only one with him. if anyone else comes over to your place he stays quiet and hides his small little face into your ankle but to your close friends, he may adjust to them • walks with you outside to protect you while you get the mail. he purrs when you pet his head and say "good boy!" and thank him for the guarding • he doesn't really like treats but trods over to you anyway cause he likes to see the smile on your face when you coo about how cute he looks while he chews. • LOVES back and belly rubs. sometimes you walk into the living room and see him just lying back on the couch, waiting for you to massage his stomach.
XIAO:
• mean sassy cat or wholesome cat, there is no in between • remember the secret life of pets 2 cat? chloe? well if you haven't watched it, chloe wakes her owner up by hacking up a hairball. and xiao does the same exact thing, except he pretends to do it and doesn't actually spit it out. he just wants to watch you freak out and panic • sleeps next to your shoulder and hides his face into the crook of your neck while you sleep. or wakes you up in the middle of the night by pulling on your hair and meowing so loudly • hates some of your friends and likes some of the others. like when ganyu or zhongli come over, he lets them feed him treats and give him gentle head pats. when childe and venti come over though, he basically screams and bares his teeth at them (mostly at childe). he can't do anything about hu tao, she just immediately picks him up and cuddles him • you leave home for an errand and come back to xiao with a mouse in his mouth. he suspected that you were hungry so he caught it and waited for you to come back home to eat it (it's wholesome but the mindset...) • sometimes he licks and/or lightly bites your ankles as you walk around the house to make you yelp from the surprisestays by you nearly 24/7. sits on the table as you eat, plays with your hair as you watch television, and sits on the windowsill as you look outside • knocks down your plants and dirt goes everywhere but feels bad when you get upset, so he brings another mouse to you to "cheer you up" • acts as if he dislikes attention only to jump onto your computer screen as you work. another time he almost snapped your laptop in half and almost spilled your drink all over your keyboard
