Who designed the Titanic?
Thomas Andrews, Jr. (February 7th, 1873 - April 15th, 1912) Andrews was the shipbuilder in charge of the plans for the ocean liner, RMS Titanic.
CARLISLE, Alexander - he is generally thought to have been responsible for much of internal designs of the ship, their fixtures, fittings and equipment.
WILDING, Edward - During the design stages wilding contributed his expertise in the mathematical calculations relating to the stability, displacement and hull integrity.
PIRRIE, Lord - the testimony of Alexander Carlisle said that Lord Pirrie designed the whole ship before the first three designers. It was improved by the three by contributing in different parts of the design.
Thomas Andrews is commonly referred to as the designer of Titanic, to the exclusion of Carlisle, Wilding, and Pirrie.
