Kokichis pov
I hummed happily to myself as I walked around town with chihiro by my side and a bag of shopping in hand. Since the alliance between humans and wolfkins we've been able to walk around freely in human towns without getting shot. It was truly a time of peace. A perfect world to bring our child into.
"hey its the little guy" I turned around to see kaito, his wife maki and what looked to be a toddler in their arms.
"hi kai-chan-" I was cut off by chihiro pushing me behind him and growling at the taller boy. Oh yeah. Kaito did hold a gun to my head when we first met. I guess he's got a right to feel on edge.
"easy chi. We're living in a time of peace remember" I said gently.
"mm I suppose I can forgive and forget" chihiro sighed as he stepped back.
"so who's the little guy" I asked as I pointed as the small child in makis arms. He hid his face in his mother's chest. I guess he's shy.
"this is our son kaizan" maki smiled lovingly at the brown haired boy.
"I can see your also expecting. Congrats you two" kaito grinned.
"thank you" I blushed slightly.
"so are you having a boy or a girl?" he asked.
"Well we won't know until the Baby's born" chihiro said nervously.
Kaito stared at us in confusion.
"kaito you idiot" maki shook her head "wolfkins don't have scanners so they can't figure out the Baby's gender beforehand"
"whaaat no fair! Humans get all the cool things" I pouted.
"there's no need to get upset love" chihiro smiled at me "the baby will be coming any day now"
As soon as he said that I felt water run down my legs. A sharp pain was soon followed after.
"umm chi"
"yeah kichi"
"I think that day is right now" I said shakingly.
"oh my gosh" chihiros eyes widened as he grabbed me "the caves too far away to take you back to"
"the hospital not too far away" kaito spoke up "we can get you there in a jiffy"
"right" chihiro pick me up in his arms "hold on tight love. We'll have to there in no time"
