AOT 2nd Generation: Monsters Inside

°•Chapter 1: He's... Gone?•°

As the sun slowly rose over new shiganshina, a ravenette slowly awoke back into the reality. Slowly sitting up she lifted her hand, rubbing her eyes to wake herself up from her slumber. Looking around the room she noticed she was alone, but the previous night she could've swore she had a guest. Seeing a piece of paper on her beside table she reached over, grabbing ahold of it and bringing it close so she could read.

'Dear Mikasa, by the time your reading this I won't be here. But i just wanted to saw that I won't be here for the next couple of years, take care of Armin for me. Please, and take care of yourself.

Love from, Eren.'

Mikasa's eyes widened as she read over the paper, wasn't here..? The bloody hell could he mean? He promised to stay by her side! Getting out of bed as fast as she could she felt a throbbing pain in her legs, whincing softly she grabbed ahold of her red scarf and wrapped it loosely around her neck. Rushing out of her room and downstairs, only to see.. nobody. The deathening silence filled her house as she bit her lip nervously, looking around for atleast one person. But nobody was here.

Going around the dining table and into the kitchen she looked around again, nobody. Her anxiety slowly grew as she continuously searched the house, maybe it was a trick. A sick trick Eren had decided to pull, yeah, that was most probably the cause. She hoped.

Now it was 12 in the afternoon, and still no sign of Eren. And Mikasa was starting to get nervous, where was he? Had he gotten hurt somewhere? Was he dead? No, he's Eren Jeager he couldn't possibly be dead. Atleast the pain in her legs had calmed, but she still felt slight pulses now and then but nothing she couldn't handle.

Leaving her house, she had already changed out of her pyjamas, Mikasa looked around the small village. Soon after humanity started slowly decreasing the titans they had used Armin's colossal titan to build the wall higher, and also get resources to rebuild shiganshina. And that's were they were, it's been about 5 years since it was rebuild and nobody's been happier.

Feeling a thud in her stomach she looked down, seeing a what looked to be 6 year old child. Listening as it quickly stuttered out a sorry and ran off, though she didn't show any emotion and continued walking through the streets of the newly build village.

Looking over at a very familiar house, she knocked on the door. Hearing the small grumble of an "I'm coming, I'm coming.." before the door opened, revealing a pretty tired and hung over Armin. His blonde, now short, hair messy. "Hey Mikasa, what's wrong.?" He muttered, though it was understandable for the ravenette.

"Good morning Armin, I was wondering if you knew where Eren was? I woke up to a note saying he had left but i don't know where he's left to." She looked at her blonde friend, her suspicion only growing as she saw the look of horror slowly settle in. "Oh no.. oh no no no.. get in, now." He quickly walked inside, the ravenette following behind. "Armin? What's happened?" She questioned, shutting the door behind herself once she had entered.

"Look, it may be hard to hear.. but" He sighed, rubbing his eyes as a headache began to settle in. "Eren's left the walls, he told me earlier and I thought you already knew. He's left to go explore what's beyond what we've already discovered, I tried to stop him but.. he'd already made up his mind. And off he went, I'm sorry."

Mikasa soon shared the look of horror and shock, looking up at him. "..So, it's just me and you now..?" She whispered, tugging anxiously on her scarf.

"Just me and you, Mikasa, just me and you."

CHAPTER ONE FINALLY DONE WOOOOO, I WILL BE POSTING EVERY FRIDAY FROM NOW ON. I can't wait to post the next chapter as that's where the second generation will actually start! And as usual, Keep masks on, Stay safe and have a wonderful christmas! 😁👍
