When i was born i was born was something called Atrial Septal Defect, Atrial Septal Defect is a heart defect that causes a hole to form between the heart, when i was born they couldnt figure out why I wasnt breathing normally, a day later afer being in the hospital the doctors did some tests and found out i had Atrial Septal Defect, my parents were worried that i was going to die somehow (ovibously im still alive to this day) but the doctors reassured my parents I was going to live I just would have some certian medical problems effecting around my heart.
its been thirteen years now and im going to tell a hillarous story about when i was at the terry fox run.
so for people who arent canadian, The Terry Fox Run is an annual charity event held in school/other things in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope, and to raise money for cancer research. bacicly i was at school and doing this run.
the thing was i forgot i was wearing my binder (this is a device to flatten youre chest but you arent run with it on-) anyways the whole point of a terry fox run is to run, so i started running like some olympic athlete at this point. i started to feel some chest pain and i touched shirt and realised i was wearing a binder. i stopped for a minute and thought
oh mother fuck no-
so i grabbed my group of friends and explanied to them i was wearing the binder, the thing was i couldnt just take it off out in the open like that and i couldnt go inside etheir. so i started jogging.
this is when the pain got worse. and when i mean worse I MEAN WORSE. i started sitting down and i was screaming at this point, ears were streaming down my face. teachers started yelling at me to run while my friend koi yelled at a couple them saying i was clearly in pain. my friend aspen/maple ran towards another trans person i knew and they helped me try to calm down a bit. My parents and doctors wouldnt allow me to get a binder so my friend got me one of their brothers old ones. anyways the school called my parents and then my mom picked me up from school and took me to the hospital.
found out later i had a bruised ribcage-
