Tw: racism
okay so when i was about 9 years old the president of the united states at the time (donald trump) started saying these things like he was going to build a wall to 'keep the mexicans out' so around this time the boys in my class would think it was funny to go up on chairs and scream out ¨lets build a wall¨ honestly since i was a dumb 9 year old i didn't think much of it. so i am Mexican/el Salvadorian and he boys in my class very well knew this, they grabbed me from behind and pushed me into a blue chair. i sat down thinking they were going to do something funny or something (idk) but then the kids in my class (who were all white btw) started yelling ¨lets build a wall¨ and cheering this phrase over and over in a circle around me.
i didnt know what was happening so i just repeated it with them. after this one of the boys (we will call him lander) pushed me against the wall and started to 'arrest' me and lander then started screaming ¨we have to keep the non-whites out¨
its been obviously a while since hat has happened (im 13 now lol) anyways i hadent realised what they were doing wrong untilabout a month ago when i was talking abou i with one of my friends and they told me ¨bruh- you realise that is like the definition of racisim¨
next story:
so me and my father went to Ottawa a couple years ago (my mother had work so she stayed at home and my sister wasnt born yet lol) anyways me and my dad decided to go to a store to get some food (pupsas more specifically if you dont know what it is its delicous and you should have it some time) anyways so we were going inside the store to get some tortillias and some people gave us weird stares. so i went off looking at this stuffed animal of a turle (fun fact turtles are my faviourte animal hehe) anyways this store worker came up to me and slapped the stuffed animal out of the hand and put it back on the shelf. the store worker then pointed a finger at me ¨ive seen your type before and im not letting you steal anything from my shop you hear me?¨ so i shruggeed and walked away then he said in my face. ¨now go off to youfather b*aner¨ (beaner is a slur against mexican-americans i fully well can say it cuz yk but i just perfer not too)
anyways thats 2 stories from my life where ive dealt with racism, (oh trust me their is a lot more storys but their kinda gruesome so i wont share them)
