CHAPTER 12

After dinner, the girls comfortably settled down in their room to discuss about their day’s events.
Their conversation went on for an hour filled with laughter, confusion and snacks,after which Anjali asked,

“babe do you realize that we both have been instructed to stay away from the same person that is Arjun. That means that those two have some history with Arjun.”

“Even I thought about that babe. We should ask Aanya ka and see if she knows anything about them.” Said Anu.             

“Yeah, babe you are right we should do that as soon as possible. But keeping that aside for now, what are you planning to do babe?”

“What do you mean what I am going to do? I am going ahead with Abhi’s plan” said Anu.

“So, you are actually okay with him calling you his girlfriend in front of everyone?” asked Anjali, shocked by her words.

“See babe, he was the one to drag me into this in the first place. If he hadn’t come and put a show in front of Arjun, he would have just spoken to me once and let me go. Now it is Abhi’s responsibility to pull me out of this situation also. And moreover, I feel like his is genuinely trying to help me out and he seems pretty nice also so I am ready to take a chance and trust him.” Said Anu firmly.

Anjali smiled teasingly at her friend and began,

“ohh, he seems to be nice so you are going to trust him enough to make him your fake boyfriend ahh? hmm let me also see how this is going to go forward as I feel it is going to very interesting babe.”

Blushing and smiling at Anjali’s words, Anu spoke,

“babe stop it, I am really doing this as an act, it won’t change anytime soon. Now you tell me what you are going to do about what kathir said?”

Smiling wider Anjali replied,

“babe I have got the perfect chance to irritate and get back at kathir by doing exactly the opposite of what he asked me to do. This is to show him who this Anjali is. I am not some girl who will not say anything to everything he does and now he is also going to see it. Just two days and he has already messed up my life, now it is my turn.”

“Babe do whatever you feel is right but please remember two things, first don’t get too involved in this and forget about your actual purpose of coming here and second, be careful with whatever you are doing.”

“Okay babe, I will keep it in mind. Now let’s finish up our college work and go to sleep babe.”

Saying so, the girls went on with their work without knowing the turmoil they caused in the minds of three boys, Kathir, Abhi and Arjun.

“You said what? You asked her to be your fake girlfriend? What were you even thinking Abhi?” asked Kathir in frustration and surprise.

“Chill da Kathir, let me explain, see by mistake I overreacted in front of Arjun and threw some unwanted attention towards Ananya and now I know that he will use her to irritate and get back at me. Since I started this, I am going to continue and finish it properly.”

“Okay da but you don’t have to handle that situation like this only, there are many other ways which involve you not being her fake boyfriend also. Why not use those?” asked Kathir.

“I can use other methods da, but I know that this is the best method to irritate Arjun to the maximum”

“but what if Arjun doesn’t care at all or what if your act turns into something more? What happens then?”

“To be honest I haven’t thought about all this Kathir. All that I know right now is that I want to protect Ananya and the best way is by keeping her close to me. If what you said happens also, I wont mind as she is pretty nice and it would be fun to hang out with her” said Abhi smiling.

“Hmm okay, but please be careful” said Kathir.

He knew that Abhi was doing this to protect Ananya but that fact that he wants to badly protect her within just two days of meeting her made Kathir realize that it was going to be something more than just an act in Abhi’s heart.
Kathir decided to keep a close watch on both of them so that he can protect his friend from getting hurt in the process.
He might not show it but Kathir loved his friend a lot and he would not let anyone hurt him at any cost.
Abhi then began, breaking Kathir from his thoughts,

“what happened to your conversation with Anjali da?”

“It went well only da, but that only made me suspicious as I know Anjali is not the person to listen to seniors but even then listened to whatever I said. Because of that I have a feeling that she is going to do exactly the opposite of what I told her. I just hope that she doesn’t drag me into any problem. I don’t what to be bothered by Arjun or her. Just one day and I am already tired of her.” Said kathir.

Opposites attract each other they say and for some reason Abhi felt the same was going to happen to Kathir and Anjali, listening to what he said as they were fighting to be at the polar opposites of each other.
Love and hate are very strong words and emotions, and fake or real, it had the power to make or break relations. The four of them have boarded the train to a very beautiful destination but the journey is going to be filled with laughter, tears, happiness, disappointment and most importantly hate and love.
