Chapter 14

After our little incident with Courtney, we all headed back to the hotel to change into some new clothes and have showers. Later that evening we were all just chilling in my room, the boys decided to join us.

Courtney was being a sulk and didn’t come and hang with us, we invited her but she chose not to take part. We spent the rest of the night just watching movies. Basically we had a huge sleepover.

Coach POV

The next morning I let all the kids sleep in for a bit long than usual. I did the usual go around and wake everybody up. But the boys were not in their room and all the girls we gone as well. I went to Jasey room.

Once I opened the door I saw everybody except Courtney as she was still sulking in her room, they were all still asleep on the lounge room floor with the T.V running. I am guessing they all had a movie night but feel asleep.

“RISE AND SHINE SLEEPING BEAUTIES!!” I YELLED

One by one they all shot up, the boys looked towards the girls and then towards to me and they were up and out in lighting speed. Once they left the room I just burst out laughing.

“They thought they were going to get into trouble” Allison said

“Come on get up we have training in an hour” I said

2 weeks later

Calum POV

This is it I am finally in Brazil to see Jasey play her final match to decide who the best soccer player on the team is. I haven’t talked to Jasey in a while and I feel like I have let her down. But I am sure she was fine.

I meet Mali who came out from the UK to see. We head over to the oval and everybody is starting to warm up. But I notice in the middle there are a group of teenagers fighting with each other.

The group seem to be taking sides and their all on one girl’s side, while the other girl is by herself. As I walk closer to the fence the conversation becomes louder.

“YOU ARE SUCH A SPOILT BRAT” the blonde girl screamed

“ME! YOU’RE THE ONE BEING A SPOLIT BRAT” the other girl said

“WHAT I’M NOT THE ONE WHO HAS TWO FAMOUS SIBLINGS” the blond screamed

“WELL I’M NOT THE ONE WHO’S FATHER PAYS FOR HIS DAUGHTER TO COME TO BRAZIL!” the girl screamed

I thought about what the girl was saying and I noticed that it was Jasey and I think Courtney yelling at each other. I was not allowed to go over and help, just stand there and watch. The group lead Jasey away.

Later that evening they all came out and played their final match, it was great to see Jasey doing something she loves. I watched the girls and boys play, remembering how that was me a few years back.

If only mum and dad were able to see this. I am sure they would be proud, the security guards finally let us onto the pitch and we waited to find out who one the cup for each for boys and girls.

They called the boys and Luke Smith won now we are waiting for the girls. Coach goes on forever before he gives us a drum roll.

“THE WINNER FOR THE GIRLS CUP IS…… JASEY HOOD!!” he yelled

I watched as she went up and accepted the cup, she also gave us a little speech.

“Thank you everybody, I cannot believe that I won but to the point I just want to thank everybody who has been here to support me. Thank you to my soccer mates and to Coach for being such an amazing figure in my life, ok this sounds like I am quitting but don’t worry I won’t be. Before I got I just want to thank my brother Calum, he has always told me to follow me dreams, and that’s what I have done and to my sister Mali, for just being such an amazing sister” she said

She talked for a little long before coming of the stage and standing right in front of us. I just pulled her into a massive hug never letting her go. It’s hard to see your baby sister growing up so fast.

I still remember it like it was only yesterday, that I had to drag her to her first soccer lesson. She kept telling me that she wanted to be a girl not a boy and wanted to go off and do ballet. But when we took her to her first ballet class she refused to wear a dress.

And to this day she rather act like a tom boy, we have to force her into a dress half of the time. But’s it’s nice to see that she has been able to have a group of close friends to support her, and like her for Jasey and not Jasey who has a famous brother.

Later that evening we take Jasey out and we have to talk to her about her future.

“Jasey, you know we are both going on tour” I said

“Yeah” she said

“You have the these choices, come on tour with one of us or go back to Australia” I said

“Well, I do want to go home but then I want to stay with you guys” she said

“I have an idea, how about you going home for a bit, I’ll get some friends to check up on your and then you could fly out to wherever Mali or I is” I said

“Sure” she said

We spend the rest of the evening just being a normal family, not letting the fame get to our heads.

I’m sorry if this was really crap, I have huge writers block and had no idea what to write. I am thinking of ending this, next writing an epilogue but I don’t know yet.

But I felt bad for not updating in over a week, but I guess this is better than nothing.
