𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄― The Penthouse

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐧

A whole week had passed and Mirae was still unconscious on the bed. She was transferred to the VIP wardroom after the doctor permitted their request to keep her there. Although the condition that she's in seemed like she needs more help, everything about her is fine, actually.  Just like the doctor that was in charge had said to them

Hyunsik, Suryeon, and Logan had come by to stop by the hospital to see her, all they can heard is the machine beeping that is monitoring her heart. It took almost half an hour to convince Hyunsik that Mirae is fine and that he can go back to their apartment. He came by everyday, checking her condition more than her own doctor, constantly checking to see if the woman would open her eyes or not

Anxious

He felt that everyday although the others seemed to be calm. He put the thoughts away that was clouding his head, dropping his head on the bed beside Mirae's hand as he intertwined their hands together on the surface of the mattress

"Wake up, Mirae. It's been a week. Shouldn't you get up and see my handsome face now? Don't you miss me?"

"I'd rather stay in coma for another week"

His eyes widened at the sudden reply. For a week, he talked and muttered to himself without a response but now, hearing her voice gave him goosebumps. He quickly got up, looking over to the woman on the bed who was looking at him with a grin

"What the hell, Mirae? How long have you been awake?"

"About an hour, I think. I wanted to tell you that I'm already awake but I want to hear what you said about me when I'm unconscious"

He looked at her in disbelief as Mirae chuckled. She got up to a sitting position slowly, making Hyunsik became alert again with his surrounding. He immediately adjusted the bed using a remote, wanting her to feel more comfortable

"Thanks"

She said, pulling the comforter to her chest as Hyunsik got up

"I'll call the doctor. I'll be back"

She nodded, watching as the man running to the exit to find the doctor with a huge grin. Mirae chuckled, shaking her head as she grabbed her phone on the small table beside her. She dialed a number and waited for a response

"Hello?"

"Wow. You picked up without checking the caller id?"

There's a pause

"Kang Mirae!"

She chuckled, hearing a ruckus from behind the line when Logan heard her voice for the first time in a week

"When the hell did you wake up?!"

"Just now. Hyunsik's calling the doctor. I don't know how long I've been out for and I would appreciate it if you come by and tell me what happened. Don't be late, okay?"

"Jokes on you. I'm already on my way. See you soon, Mirae"

"I'll be waiting"
