The sun's rays flitted over the grassy hill and onto the dew covered flowers outside of the relatively large manor in Godric's Hollow. It crept through each window in the brick manor and shone down onto the fair skin of Astra Black. Her steel grey eyes remained shut. The manor was quiet, peaceful even.

This was unusual, for the residents that occupy this house are not exactly well behaved. Astra started to stir from her slumber as the light shone into her eyes, effectively waking her up. Suddenly, the door burst open, "Astra! Astra, wake up, it's an emergency!" The alarmed voice of Sirius Black, her twin brother, sounded through her ears. Astra jumped out of bed, shocked by the sound of urgency in his voice. "What, what is going on!" Astra strode towards her brother, fear evident in her light eyes.

She gripped his shoulder as he looked at her face in clear distress, "I've lost the map." He stated, looking as if he was under attack. Astra stared into his own identical eyes, dumbfounded. "You have woken me up at this ungodly hour, to inform me that you have lost the map." Astra rolled her eyes, taking a step back from her idiotic brother. "Well, that and to tell you that Mia has made breakfast, or have you forgotten we are supposed to be on the train in an hour and a half?" Sirius smirked.

Astra was shocked. She had slept in, she never sleeps in. She raced towards the bathroom, her brothers laugh ringing in her ears. "Morning-" James was cut off as Astra slammed the bathroom door shut. James shook his head and stuck his head into her bedroom looking at his best mate. "Is she alright?" He questioned a doubled over Sirius as he laughed until his lungs hurt. "Yes, she just slept in." Sirius said, composing himself.

James raised his eyebrows, Astra was always the one to wake everyone else up. "Excuse me." He heard a voice say as he was effectively shoved out of the way by a frantic blonde. "Sirius, out! I have to change. Don't you have a map to look for?" She questioned as the boy had not moved from the room yet. "Oh, yeah!" Sirius ran past James and he just shook his head. Astra started throwing random things into her large trunk that now lay at the end of her wooden bed.

James walked over to her trunk, picking up on her distress. "A pillow, really?" James asked her, picking out one of the many random items in her trunk. "What, the ones in the dorm are uncomfortable." She said slowly, taking the pillow out of his hands and setting it on the chair in the corner of her room. She went to close the trunk. "Forgetting something?" James asked, lifting up her uniform. "Oh, um. I was just going to grab that, yes." She said, walking over to take it from him. She went to grab it out of his hand.

"What do you say?" James asked her, he could see the impatience in her eyes and just wanted to mess with her a bit. "Give it to me." She stated, keeping her hand on the uniform but not tugging. James pulled on the uniform swiftly and she rammed into his chest. He put his arm around her, holding her there.

"What do you say?" He whispered, getting closer to her face. She paused, staring straight into his hazel eyes. She admired how the deep chocolate brown blended into the emerald green and had a smudge of gold around the iris.

James stared into her steel grey eyes. There was a light bit of eyeliner smudged around her eyes, lining it nicely and making her eyes pop. He loved that she felt comfortable enough to not cover her face in makeup and just do simple things.

Neither could tell if they were breathing, they were both too focused on drinking in each other's features now so close up.

So very close up.

"I Found it!" They both heard the long haired boy's voice as well as his thunderous footsteps as he ran down the hall. They jumped apart and James handed Astra her uniform just as Sirius stepped into the door frame. "No need to worry, I found the map." Sirius stated. James coughed awkwardly. "Nice mate, now we can work on that prank later tonight." James said, trying to take the attention off of the obvious tension in the air.

Sirius pulled James downstairs and Astra followed suit, dragging her feet and trying not to trip with her heavy trunk in her hands. They got downstairs and Astra left her trunk at the front door before following the two pranksters into the kitchen to eat breakfast with the family. Her and Sirius' new family. Oh, how she could get used to that. Still her mind does stray to the smaller black brother and how he is doing. She wished she could have persuaded him to come but they still write to each other.

James, noticing the look on her face, pulled out a chair for her and then sat next to her at the table. Euphemia placed a plate of pancakes, eggs, and bacon in front of each child as Fleamont came into the kitchen kissing each teens head and then sat down himself. They made small talk as they ate and Euphemia did her usual lecture about the boys behaving themselves. Of course, she was never mad at them and as she talked to them about their behavior her face still held that warm motherly smile that Astra loved so much.

Eventually it was time to go though. The three teens went upstairs for a final check to make sure they had not left anything important in their rooms. Astra had been looking at her bookshelf beside the large window to make sure she hadn't wanted to take any of them with her. A gentle knock was heard behind her. Astra turned around to see Sirius standing in the door frame.

"Are you going to miss this place?" He questioned looking at his sister with a sad glint in his eye. After spending time in a home that was cruel and demanding, Sirius and Astra had finally found their real home.

A professor had once asked Astra to describe her home and when she started to describe the dim manor he had told her to describe her home not a home. She didn't learn until after she left the Black manor what the professor had meant. Astra had found her home, she knew that it had been the people living there that had really made it home.

"I will always miss this place, even if I am still sitting on the couch laughing with Euphemia over old stories about her and Fleamont's school years." She said sadly, smiling lightly at the thought of Euphemia's crazy stories. "We finally found our place didn't we, Cy." He smiled at her, walking over and wrapping his long arms around her shoulder and pulling her into his chest.

"Yeah. We did, Siri." She wrapped her arms around his torso and relished in her brother's embrace. "Sorry to break up this sentimental moment, but we need to be going." James' voice came from the hallway just outside the door frame. "We're coming." Sirius said and let go of Astra, walking past James and out the door way.

"You okay?" He asked her, catching onto her somber mood. "Yeah, yeah I'm alright." She stated, giving him a stunning smile. James smiled back.

She was finally able to say that she was alright and completely, honestly mean it.

On to new adventures. She thought, walking past James and out the door as well.
