Everleigh's POV

After the weekend of me and Ashley hanging out, I remember I had Jake in my first period today. "Oh god!" I said annoyed. "What?" she asked and looked up at me from her phone. "I have a class with my enemy!!"
"Do you even know his name?" she asked making me scoff at her question, "Yeah, it's Jake. He introduced himself to me when I didn't care." she laughed at my reply and I did too.

Then the bell rang.
We walked off to our classes and I got to mine. I opened the door and saw everyone sitting in other chairs, I went to the teacher. "Where do I sit?" she didn't say anything and just pointed to one of the seats at the back, I loved sitting there as you didn't need to worry about people not being able to see from behind you. I walked to my seat and sat down, grabbing my book out of my bag. A girl who rarely ever talks either were sitting at the table with me, she seemed nice but as we are both shy, we never spoke. Our lesson went on and I was happy as Jake wasn't here. As I was thinking to myself, someone opened the door in a very noisy manner, I looked up and of course, Jake was there. He walked over to the front and spoke to the teacher, then walked to the back. And of course, he sat next to me. I have the worst luck.

I made sure to not even glance at Jake but he caught my attention. "Wow, even your side profile is great." I looked and he was staring at me with his face inches away from mine making me jump. He then started laughing which caught everyone's attention and they started to laugh as well. Soon after, everyone but me, the girl at our table who was just reading and the teacher were laughing. "Everyone be quiet and Everleigh, Jake leave my room now!" I sat there wondering, what have I done to deserve to get sent outside? I did nothing, they were all laughing at me. I watched as Jake strolled out without a care in the world. "No," I said not getting up. "What was that?" the teacher asked me with an annoyed look on her face, "They all started laughing after Jake made fun of me, It isn't my fault. I shouldn't need to go out." the teacher stood flabbergasted, I had never talked back to a teacher but to be honest it felt great. "Get out!" she said stern and I quickly got up and left. As I went outside, I sighed as I saw Jake walking to detention. "Where are you going?" I asked making him turn around. "We are gonna get detention anyway, so come on." I sighed again and followed him with my head hanged low.

When I walked in, I accidentally hit Jake making us fall onto the ground. When I opened my eyes I saw that I was on top of Jake. "Woah, this is cute," he said giving me a funny look, I then felt his leg wrap around mine and suddenly he was on top of me. "Hey," he said as I lay there not knowing what to do, he was surprisingly really heavy. "G-get off!" I said trying to push him off me but he was too strong and wouldn't budge a muscle. "Get the fuck off of me!" I said in a stern voice. "OK, OK chill." and then he got off me, he reached his hand out for me to grab but I got up myself. I couldn't stay there any longer and just ran away. "Everleigh!" I heard him shout from behind me but I kept going.

Lunch began not that long after, which was great because of all that running, I was becoming very hungry and tired. I sat down at our bench across from Ashley and she looked so worried. "What happened?!" she said almost getting out of the chair. "Jake. I hate him so much. He's so annoying." she just sighed. "I know this is hard to believe for you but he could like you?" I shook my head in disbelief, "There is no way?!" he could never like me, he just likes to annoy me. "Are you sure you don't like him as well?" there is no way I could like someone like him. "No, eww! No way!"
