Mutual Feelings?

Everleigh's POV

After he left me there, I slumped my back to the wall trying to compose myself. I decided to phone Ashley telling her to come to me, I knew that she was in class but I seriously needed her there.

I took my phone out of my pocket trying hard not to drop it out of the sheer shock of what just happened. I started to phone her and of course, she picked up pretty much straight away surprising me, whenever I phone her during the classes she loves, she answers straight away because she knows I wouldn't just phone for fun during her favourites. "Are you OK?" I didn't wanna say I wasn't because I'd hate to worry her. "Come to the room I'm in," I said sharing my location in the school with her. "OK I'll just tell the teacher, hang on." with that, she ended the call leaving me, again alone.

I heard a lot of noise from outside and I watched as Ashley came into the room, closing it after herself. She looked at me for one second before running up and pulling me into a hug. She made me feel so warm and safe in her embrace. "I-I," I said trying to say something but my heart was beating so fast, so I couldn't say anything, it wasn't much fear but almost happiness and relief, it was really weird. It must just have been my body being happy to see Ashley after an eventful time. "Don't talk it's alright, just take your time," she said while still hugging me.

After staying embraced for a little while, Ashley broke away from the hug and sat up, "Do you want me to get you something to eat or drink or do you wanna talk now?" Ashley always made me feel better after I have a nightmare or a bad day at school as she always knows exactly how to cheer me up, this was no exception. I felt safer around her and already believed that Jake had no intention to assault or hurt me. So I spoke up. "Jake confessed to me." she stared shocked, I don't know if it was because I wasn't even crying or because of what I said. "What?" she waited a few seconds and I then could see she understood, as she smirked and gave me a little push. "I told you he liked you!" she looked so happy for me, making it way more difficult to say that I almost got assaulted by him. "He told me that he wanted to spend time with me, like in a weird way." his face completely changed from being happy to then looking worried. "After he saw I was uncomfortable, he reassured me that if I didn't want that it would be fine." she still looked worried at the last thing I knew, she got up and ran out of the room. Oh no, she is gonna murder him.
