Harry's pov.
I chuckled as I watched Jenna's head bounce asleep beside my seat on the plane. I still couldn't forgive myself for not having fought hard enough to keep her at home, I hated myself. If I had lost her, I would have died inside.A slight toss made Jenna grunt and she gradually woke up with a yawn.
«What time is it?», she asked, covering her mouth with her hand.
«Quarter past two»
«We are almost there?»
«A few minutes I think»
I closed my eyes but I could still feel her gaze on me. I have never felt so close and distant to a person at the same time before. I felt uncomfortable... because I knew I had it all wrong with her, right from the start. When I looked at her in the early days I felt terribly guilty, because if she hadn't known me she would never have lost her human side, I was so happy when I knew she wasn't a monster like me... and then I transformed her. Sure, I had saved her life, but maybe it would have been better in that moment than to have her die now in one of the worst possible ways...I slowly opened my eyes and she looked away blushing, I knew from the way she was torturing her nails that she wanted to ask something, but that she didn't dare to do so to avoid bothering me.
«Say it», I urged her.
«I don't know what you're talking about», she acted as she was surprised by my sentence.
«Tell me what you were thinking, and don't beat around the bush, I know you too well»
She snorted and she fixed her eyes everywhere but in mine. But in the end she gave up, as always.
«I was wondering if we will be able to spend so much time together...», she whispered.
«What do you mean?», I looked at her confused, «We spent ten years together»
«Yes, look how it ended», she softened his tone even more.
«I didn't see how it ended, because it's not over. Do you understand me?», I raised my voice in irritation.
«See? All we do is argue or fight!», she exclaimed in exasperation.
«You're the one talking bullshit!», I answered back.
«As many as you say to me», she snorted crossing her arms.
I dropped the discussion as not to further annoy the man next to us in the window seat. Then, the bell rang on the plane, which finally warned us of our arrival. We buckled up and waited for the landing to finish. We retrieved the suitcases we had had to buy especially for the trip and we went out. The day I hunted for supplies had been a waste of time... I hadn't thought about the fact that normally you couldn't carry corpses into a luggage through the airport.
We entered the building, checked in, and stepped out into the cold Paris air. The taxi we called took us to the hotel near the center and dropped us off at the entrance.
«I'm going to get the keys», I told her, «Wait for me here»
She nodded and I walked over to the reception desk, I was greeted by a smiling blonde, ready to fulfill my requests.
«Good afternoon, can I please see your passport, sir?», she asked politely in a fabulous French accent.
«Of course ma'am», I kindly replied handing her my freshly made passport.
«Harry Styles and Jenna Stone, overnight stay for two weeks», she fumbled with papers and grabbed a couple of keys from the hooks behind her, «You're going to be in room 359, on the third floor. I hope you have a nice stay and congratulations on the wedding»
