Jonathan's pov.

We all met at the Nathars to see how Gemma was doing. She had suffered a very strong hit... the first thing that came to my mind was to bring her here during the battle.

Shortly after Drew's uncontrollable wrath, that impostor left taking his army with him, saying he would wait for the right moment to destroy us all.My muscles were stiff from the cold, I closed the window and I sat beside the makeshift mattress to lay her body down. Lilya had spread some jute sacks on the wooden floor so that she could be at least a little more comfortable than the floor.Around us there were Drew, Vanessa, Mila, Lilya, Chad and Kate. Randel had just returned and I could see a slight movement from my aunt.

«She's waking up», Randel said, taking her hand and gesturing for his wife to bring him something.

«That's a good sign, isn't it?», I asked, not knowing whether to be relieved or not.

«Of course it is», he smiled show his exhaustion.

I jumped when Gemma jumped up transformed into a vampire again. She was out of breath and she beaded with sweat on her forehead.Randel took the glass that Lilya had passed him and he gave it to Gemma, who drank it very quickly, and seemed not to have enough yet.

«Bring me more blood, honey», he said.

She had to drink about ten glasses to feel better.

«What happened?», she asked confused and worried at the same time.

«They hit you», I said, «You've been out for hours, we were all worried»

«I remember... I remember feeling a strong hollow in my stomach», she frowned, turning human again, «And... Harry. I remember Harry. He was there when they hit me»

We all looked at each other in amazement. It could have been a hallucination, or something like that, maybe.

«Harry wasn't there», Chad said, «We haven't seen him here since. He's been gone for about four months, so I heard»

They didn't know about his mission, much less did they know that Jenna had gone away with him. I thought maybe it would be better to say it, maybe they could help in some way. But of course I followed Randel's will and kept the secret.

«Are you okay now?», Drew asked worriedly as he approached her.

A smile grew on her lips and they hugged softly.

«I'm much better now»

I motioned for everyone to come out and give them some privacy. So, we went through the door and we went out of the little house. Our gazes focused on where we heard footsteps sinking into the grass. It was General Collins.

«Hello», he greeted cordially everyone, «I heard about Gemma's accident. I beg your pardon, but I was out of town these days. I came back as soon as I got the news»

«Don't worry, General», Randel said while going to shake his hand, «With a little luck we got away with it»

«I'm relieved», he smiled, «She's fine now I hope»

«Much better certainly», he replied to the smile.

«I'm glad», he sighed, and he continued, «I'm not just here for Gemma. I have to announce the army's training will begin tomorrow»

«Where will they be held?», Kate asked.

«At the camp. You will have at your disposal a supply of weapons and the necessary to be able to enter the camp whenever you wish, day and time in addition to the lessons set by the program. Do we understand each other?»
