Chapter 4

(Tubbo's POV)

"Are you sure? You won't hate me, or make fun of me?" Ranboo said

There's nothing Ranboo could ever do to make Tubbo hate him.

Why is he being so defensive about it?

"I swear in Benson"

Tubbo is now super curious because of Ranboo being so defensive.

'It can't be that bad' He thought to himself.

He waited a few moments until he heard a small sigh through his headphones, then he finally heard Ranboo say quietly,

"You"

He felt the heat rush up to his face, and fast. His stomach was doing backflips. Him. Him? When Ranboo imagined him in a relationship, the first person who came to mind was him. They sat in silence for moment.

"What were we doing?" He asked out of curiosity.

"We were just holding hands, staring at each other"

Tubbo closed his eyes and imagined it; Him staring up at Ranboo, holding hands with him, both incredibly happy. He opened his eyes and noticed he was smiling softly.

"Sorry, it- it's stupid, I don't know why I told you. It's dumb anywa-"

"Did you enjoy it?" Tubbo cut in before he could stop himself.

What kind of a question is that? 'Did you enjoy it' That sounds creepy, why did he ask that?

"Well, I-" Ranboo began, but before he could hear him finish, Tubbo heard his door opening.

He pulled his head phones around his neck and spun around in his chair.

"Hello?"

It was Lani.

"Mum told me to come get you for dinner"

"Okay, maybe knock next time?"

"Maybe" She said as she was walking away, without closing the door.

He pulled his headphones back up and spun back around, facing his desk.

"Sorry, I uhm, I gotta go. Talk later though?"

"Yeah."

"Okay bye"

"Yeah, bye"

He then left the call and turned off his computer. As he was walking down the stairs, Ranboo's words kept repeating in his head.

'You. You. You.'

He felt his heartbeat become faster and his body grow heavier the more he thought about it. Why would he ask if he enjoyed it? That's a stupid question, who would ask that? Why would he enjoy it anyway? He never got to hear his answer though, so who's to say he wouldn't? No, that's stupid.

"Toby, are you alright?" He heard his mom ask.

"Hm? Oh, yeah, i'm fine"

The best thing to do right now is probably to just not overthink it.
