Chapter 6: Unspoken Dreams

Taehyung's room was filled with BTS' ON song at 6:30 in the morning. It was his alarm. The half-asleep Taehyung reached for his phone and turned it off. He sat up and groaned as he had a throbbing headache caused by a very short two-hour sleep.

He left the bed and went to the bathroom to get his medicine bag and searched for some aspirin. He drank one and decided to head for the shower, hoping that a nice hot bath can help ease off the pain. And, it did.

Twenty minutes later, he dressed up and went out of his room to go search for Manager Se-jin. He found him in the living room.

"Manager Se-jin? Good morning, I'm Kim Taehyung, the new PA." Taehyung said bowing slightly.

"Oh, hi Taehyung-ah! Didn't expect you to be up this early. But, I appreciate it. Do you want to start with the briefing now or would you like me to show you around first?"

"We can go straight to the briefing, Sejin-sshi. Jungkook gave me a tour yesterday." Taehyung politely said.

"Alright, first off, here's your work phone and your tablet. I already stored the important contact numbers on the phone, including the BTS members' and then, the tablet has all their schedules, updated in real time."

Taehyung took them and then sat on the couch when Sejin gestured him to.

They went through all his responsibilites which included:

1) Ensuring that all the schedules are followed and that BTS would be ready in time for them;
2) Prepare breakfast early in the morning, then lunch or dinner (if the need arises) so that the boys won't have to;
3) Do errands for them, but only when asked for assistance;
4) Manage the household, e.g. taking care of their mails, forwarding bills to management, etc.
5) Assist them on tours outside the country
6) Closely coordinate with the boys' families for updates and other correspondence.
7) Closely work with the other BTS staff, e.g. offsite PAs, bodyguards, etc.

"Majority of my responsibilities doesn't require me to go out so much right, Sejin-sshi." Taehyung asked after Sejin went through all the tasks.

"Yes, that's right. Is that okay with you?"

"It's perfect, Sejin-sshi. Thank you." Taehyung said.

"If you don't mind, Taehyung, can you wake the boys up in 30 minutes? We need to leave by 9 am for an interview." Sejin said.

"Sure, Sejin-sshi. Will cook breakfast for now."

"Thank you, Taehyung-ah."

Taehyung went to the kitchen and immediately started preparing breakfast. He decided to cook Pajeon and Steamed Egg Soup, which he was able to do in exactly thirty minutes.

After cooking, he went to wake up the boys and told them that breakfast is ready, finding JHope and Namjoon already awake and finished taking a shower; Jin, still in PJs but on his phone; Jimin and Yoongi, just woken up; and, Jungkook, still in dreamland despite Taehyung's loud knocks. The frustrated PA had no choice but to go inside and wake him up.

Taehyung found Jungkook still wrapped in his blanket in deep sleep.
