Three weeks passed into the new month. And something changed in Mark's partner after that party. All Mark could attend to was his studies and they increased in intensity and effort. With them both being in separate classes now Mark saw his boyfriend less. His grades were fragile since that contact name called DY kept haunting is mind everywhere he went. He wanted to straight up ask Donghyuck who that was but knew that it wasn't his place... not yet. After that one night, Donghyuck never asked Mark to visit his rehearsal ever again. He would come home agitated. "How was rehearsal?" Mark said while trying desperately to finish a test he started online. Donghyuck came into the bedroom and slumped onto his bed after spending hours in the auditorium. "Fine." he spoke with a monotone voice.

"I'm sorry, I need to finish this damn test. I only have a few questions left."

"Okay."

"Anything you wanna do afterwards?"

"Let me think."

Silence. Mark didn't even realize how long it had been until he finished the test. Smiling in relief he got up. Donghyuck completely dozed off. "Hey! Get up!" Mark went up to him and shook him until he opened his eyes. "I finished early, Hyuck. That means more time for us."

"But I'm tired," Donghyuck whined.

"You? Tired? I don't believe this."

"Well, get used to it."

Mark sat down where he was. He combed his beloved's hair with his fingers and thought of something. "How about this. You could lie here... and I'll do all the work."

With that, Donghyuck sat up, wide awake now. "Really? That's the best you can do?"

"Look, I'm just trying to make up for all those times I couldn't spend with you."

"Well, sometimes I don't feel like doing anything."

"Wow," Mark frowned. Something ticked him off and made the steam rise in his body. He just said it. "Jesus. You're so selfish."

"I'm selfish?" Donghyuck smiled and folded his arms. "I'm selfish when I decide to rest after hours of throwing my ass around in a room. That makes me selfish?"

"Yes! That does!"

"Maybe you're the selfish one."

"I can't believe you right now." Mark got up from the bed and went to the hamper near pile of dirty clothes. Tuesday was laundry day. He threw them inside it after every word. "I work so hard. I do it for my career goals. I do it so that we can both live here instead of our crazy parents! Like, I know I'm not perfect. But I try so hard. Who drove you home when you were passed out drunk in my car? I did! Who helped you walk all the way home in the freezing cold to get you to bed? I did! And yet I'm the selfish one."

"All you want to do is work hard!" Donghyuck sprang up from the bed. "Every time I try to do fun things with you, you shut me down. You never make time for me."

"Are you kidding me? Its literally always about what you want! I try my best to make time for you and it always works out in the end. Doesn't it? You wouldn't know that because of how selfish you are!"

"That's because I'm always initiating it! You never take the first step!"

"What happened to you?" Mark asked, after throwing the last bit of clothes in. "At the party, you were really off. Why'd you drink so much? Why are you acting this way?"

At first, Donghyuck hesitated. "That's my problem. Not yours!"

"Wow. Okay."

"The fuck does that mean?"
