Eight days passed by like nothing. And for Mark it was a fairly busy week full of homework and open book tests. Donghyuck had gotten out of whatever strange funk he had going on. He bounced back to being his regular old self. He made it his business to meet Mark outside of his classroom after dismissal to support and talk sweetly during their free time. They barely saw each other during the week since they had separate classes and rehearsals to go to, so each visit was important. But Mark never forgot about his strange funk. He just watched his partner for any signs of that happening again. But it never did.

Now it was finally Saturday, the day of Chenle's costume party and the end of a month. Johnny and Jeno were planning on meeting them at their apartment so that they could leave off campus at the same time. Mark was already dressed up in his costume and received a text message from Johnny that they were both waiting at his front door. "Hyuck? Are you ready to go? They're here." Mark knocked on the bathroom door.

He heard his beloved say, "Give me five minutes. Wait outside. I still don't want to show you yet!"

Mark grew annoyed. "Okay, but hurry up!" he said and went over to the bedroom dresser to take a look at himself one more time. He thought his reflection looked silly, but it was definitely pretty accurate. He took his mask and right under it was Donghyuck's phone. The screen was facing downwards. It wasn't vibrating anymore like the other night. Still, he had an urge to just take a peek at any notifications popping up. It kind of bothered him when Donghyuck said it was nobody. "No, that's not right." Mark snatched his hand away. He trusted his partner. He sped out of the room and out of his home to forget about it.

He didn't expect Johnny and Jeno to be standing right at his door like two stalkers and he jumped when he saw them. "Jesus, you scared the shit out of me." Mark exclaimed.

"Hello to you too!" Johnny folded his arms. He was wearing a cheap costume that was supposed to be Scooby Doo, but it ultimately looked like some animal onesie. Jeno on the other hand wore a bulky, tactical costume and had a fake gun strapped to his back. It threw Mark off, since Jeno's vibrant personality was the complete opposite of whatever threatening character he was supposed to be.

Giggling, Jeno told him, "You're Spiderman? Wow, you look just like him!"

Mark hit his lap. "Everyone keeps telling me that!"

"Who knows, maybe you are him. Got something to tell us?" Johnny then asked, eyeing him.

"If I was him, or any kind of superhero, I think I'd tell you."

"We don't know that."

"Wait, where's Hyuck?" Jeno realized that they were missing one more person. "Is he still coming?"

Mark nodded and checked the time on his phone. "Yes, he's just finishing up. He didn't want to show me his costume yet."

"Have you talked to him yet?" Jeno came closer, lowering his voice.

"Kind of," Mark answered. "It's a little... complicated."

Speak of the devil. The apartment door cracked open. "Mark! I'm ready," Donghyuck cried, only showing his face which had fake blood near his mouth. "No peeking!"

Mark understood and covered his eyes to make him happy. Donghyuck hushed the other two and they zipped their mouths shut. He exited the apartment and locked it up with his key. He turned around and dusted himself off before tapping Mark again. When Mark revealed his eyes, his jaw nearly dropped at how his boyfriend's vampire costume fit perfectly on his body. He wore a ruffled white shirt that was cropped and black shorts with knee-high stockings covering his legs. Hanging behind him was a long cape. "Wow, you look-" Mark didn't even know what to say.
