The Decoration Dilemma- part 1

I figured I'd try 15 days of Christmas instead of 12. Because I'm cool like that. 😎😂

Y/n= Your name
~~~~~~~
It was another December day in the Tower. You had just arrived a few minutes ago and were now on your way up in the elevator.
"Welcome back, Y/n." JARVIS said.
You smiled a bit. You always liked how formal JARVIS was. "Thank you." You said softly.
As the elevator went up, you brushed a strand of your hair back with one hand. The other was currently occupied with holding something.
It was a bag of items that you had picked up at the store.  Items for decorating and eating. The Avengers needed some Christmas spirit, and you were the person fit for the job.
The elevator doors slid open, revealing a empty room. Where was everyone?
The kitchen was empty as well, and all the lights were dimmed. Of course, the window let in a lot of light but still. It seemed eerie.
It was unlike the team to all be gone at the same time. Usually one of them would stay behind to give you the details of what's going on. It was always usually Bucky.
Your footsteps echoed off the floor as you walked in, setting your things on the coffee table. "Jarvis?"
"Yes Y/N?" He responded back.
Looking out the large windows you noticed the quinjet was gone. "Where is everyone?" You asked.
JARVIS took a moment to respond. Unusual.
"A mission in Asgard." Was all he said before going silent.
Asgard?  What were they doing there? And why hadn't one of them atleast called you?
Sure, you weren't really a part of the team yet, but you thought you were a valuable asset. Asgard was once your home too. You knew the streets better than Thor did.
The wind outside blew heavily against the glass, causing eerie sounds to sound throughout the room.  It helped with your thinking.
Asgard. You haven't been there in a long time.
You were raised there in the castle as a warrior, after being taken in by Frigga. She had found you on the palace steps, shivering in the cold of night. Your parents were horrible people. Leaving you in the cold, starving you, sometimes even beating you for the smallest reasons.
Frigga had taken you under her wing and gave you the best training Asgard could offer. Of course, Odin wasn't very happy about the circumstances, but that never stopped the queen.
You grew up alongside Thor, training with him and going into poorly planned battles. A mistake his brother Loki frowned upon.
Usually you never saw Loki around the palace, only at dinner and a few times during training. He had only spoken to you once. And you couldn't even remember what it was.
But that was long ago.
Now you were on Midgard, and have been for a few years. You had told Frigga that it was time for you to leave Asgard and protect something worth fighting for.
Fighting for people who couldn't fight for themselves.
She allowed you to leave with Thor, tears in her eyes as she hugged you. You had promised her you would visit as often as you could.
But living on Midgard had other plans.
Besides training with the Avengers, you also had a job that would earn you money. You had a place of your own close by you were renting.
And not to mention a boyfriend. One that was currently in another state at a business meeting.  He didn't know of your past life and what you did with your free time.
He didn't know how often you came to the tower to see the Avengers.
"Jarvis, can you notify Tony and tell him to call me when he returns?" You asked quietly as you stared out the window. It had started snowing again, the flakes hitting the glass and landing on the balcony in front of you.
"Of course." Was his response.
Deciding to leave all the Christmas items you bought near the kitchen, you slid on your jacket once again and stepped into the elevator. So much for visiting.
Now you had an empty apartment to go back to. You hated being alone when the weather was like this. It almost made you...sad in a way.
As the elevator descended down, you took out your phone and tried calling your boyfriend. It went straight to voicemail. Great.
Once you were out on the street by the tower, you decided to walk back to your place instead of taking a Taxi. You needed the time to think.
Why hadn't the Avengers asked you to join them?
They all knew you were from Asgard. Thor especially knew how bad you wanted to return. You felt almost betrayed.
Shaking your head slightly, you walked through the busy sidewalks. People were everywhere with bright colored bags. The smell of hot chocolate in the air as you passed by a café.
You loved Christmas, but now you just felt empty. You wanted to sit in a warm café and then go shopping, only to return home and watch movies with your boyfriend. But he disliked the whole season. He said it was a waste of time and money.
The only thing he allowed in YOUR apartment was the presence of a freshly cut tree. No presents or other decorations of any kind. Which was ridiculous.
You finally reached your small modern apartment when you took your keys out. Hands shaking from the cold, it took a few minutes before you could get the door open.
When you stepped inside, a hand grabbed your arm. Thinking fast, you grabbed the intruders arm and flipped him to the ground, pinning his hands down.
"I deserved that." Came a familiar voice, laced with a chuckle.
Thor.
You got up and flipped on the lights, seeing Thor sitting up and rubbing his wrists.
"What the hel Thor! I could have killed you!" You yelled at him.
He smiled up at you. "Very funny."
Rolling your eyes, you sighed. "What are you doing here? I just got back from the tower and everyone was gone."
"We were on Asgard. We had a small problem that required us all to go." He rubbed the back of his neck as he stood.
"A small problem?" You asked.
Thor nodded.
"How small?" You asked, hands on your hips. "Because I really wanted to get some decorating done with all of you in the tower. And I didn't even get to do that! So this better be worth my time and actually be important." You were angry now.
But not at Thor. Never at your best friend.
Thor took a moment to answer, watching you carefully for a reaction.
"He's being brought to the tower for detainment Y/N".
You made a confused face. "Who?"
"Loki."
As soon as the words were out and a small gasp left your lips, your phone rang. You answered it, stating at Thor. "Hello?"
"Hey Kid. Its Stark. We need you to come in. We have a problem."
Great.
