Camela eyes fluttered open as she heard beeping sounds. She then opened her eyes fully taking in everything around her. Her head was throbbing as she tried to think about the pervious events that led her to be in a hospital.
She remembered being at the police station and after that nothing else. Looking to her side there Jackson was with his face in his hands. She cleared her throat and his head shook up. He gave her a small smile and pulled his chair closer to her.
"Hi baby, I'm so happy you are okay. You scared me." He said kissing her forehead. He could see the confusion on Camela's face so he knew he had to explain. "At the police station you fainted when they told us they identified the body." Jackson explained. Camela's memories now came back to her fully.
Camela mind went blank and she started to sweat and felt lightheaded like she couldn't breathe. She queezed Jackson's hand and his snapped over to her taking in her appearance. She was pale and her eyes turned red, she honestly had he and the officer spooked. "Camela, what's the problem? Come on baby, you gotta talk to me or I won't know. Calm down." He encouraged forgetting the officer was in the room. "MOM!" was all Camela shouted before everything went black.
Tears began to fall from her eyes and before she knew it she was sobbing hysterically. Why couldn't she get a break? Why couldn't just be happy? She moved away from everything and everyone that hurt her, why was her past still following her? Camela was so frustrated she began shaking. Jackson watched full of concern trying to pick his next words carefully.
"Listen to me, I know it hurts and it's confusing but we gotta pull it together. I don't understand none of this shit." Jackson said while sighing. He was honestly over this bullshit and drama, this wasn't how he saw himself in the future. Camela's mind began racing as she thought about Troy. "This is my step father sending me a message. OMG! He's going to try and kill me! How did he find me? Why won't be leave me aloneeee?!" Camela was now screaming. Jackson took in what she said and thought about it for a while. Like a light bulb went off in his mind, "the grand opening" he mumbled. Camela looked up at him to figure out what he said. "The grand opening for the club, that's how he found you. All the pictures and videos. They were all over the internet." Jackson explained.
Camela felt so defeated because how could she be so careless and stupid. She should've known better than to be in those photos. She was so focused on her new life and being so safe around the brothers that she forgot about her old life. This shit was a gift and a curse. "So what are we gonna do?" She questioned looking into his dark brown eyes. She could see something in them that was different. She then began to feel horrible for bringing all this drama into their lives, it was necessary and she felt like a burden.
"We're gonna make it through this. First things first, I need to know everything and know what this bitch nigga looks like so I could have my people on it. Secondly you're gonna have to tell the cops what you know or what what you think just incase this nigga tries something. He can get smoked and they'll say self defense. Thirdly I want you to know that I wouldn't ever hurt you again but I most definitely won't let another motherfucka hurt you. We're in this together now and forever. I'm not losing anyone else that I love. I love you." Jackson said giving her a kiss and holding her in his arms as she cried and nodded agreeing with everything he said.
