Today is finally the day Camela thought, it was offically the day that Club Pure was opening. Everyone ran around like chickens with no heads trying to make sure it was perfect. Camela was currently sitting in the office making some last minute calls to her caterer. They messed up the order and delivered deviled eggs instead of the crab cakes and she wasn't too happy about it. She was trying to prove both Jackson and Jesse that she could handle pressure, they both were getting on her nerves asking her if she could handle all the pressure every second. "I asked for CRAB CAKES! What part of that don't you understand? You got 20 minutes to get my order here or trust and believe I'm not paying you." Camela barked into the phone with one hand on her hips. Neck and eye rolling was a joke to the way she acted hearing the caterer spit excuse after excuse at her and consistently apologizing. Ending her call Camela sighed in frustration, running her hand through her hair she began having a flashback.
Camela's and baby sister Tina were in the kitchen cooking a special meal for their for Mother's Day. Camela put Tina who was only 13 at the time on cookie duty since she figured that was the easiest thing for her to do. Turning her back on her sister, paying attention to the pasta that was was in the making, she heard a loud scream. She turned around so fast she got dizzy, it was her 13 year old sister with a bleeding hand. She had cut herself with a knife trying to open a can of cream. "Tina?! Omg why didn't you just use the opener?!" Camela screeched running over to her aid. Tina was in full blown tears, the cut was pretty bad Camela had to admit and she could tell it may need stitches. She face palmed herself as soon as she heard the front door open and in comes her stepdad Troy. She knew this wasn't going to end well because Troy was very protective over Tina and he already felt like Camela was jealous of her. I mean she somewhat was afterall.
"What the fuck did you do to her?" Troy barked snatching Camela's hand away from Tina. "She cut herself using the knife to open a can of cream, we were making dinner for Mother's Day." Camela explained trying to defend herself all whilst looking at her sister so she can comfirm it and help her out. Tina just ignored and continue to scream out and cry. Camela internally rolled her eyes because now Tina was being extra just because her dad was here. "You lying bitch, get yo stupid ass in yo room and wait for me! You can't do shit right, just fuckin useless! No one will never be proud of you for nothing, you're just a complete screw up. You disgust me!" Troy barked while mushing her in her face so hard she fell onto the groud but quickly got up running towards her room.
Camela didn't realize how long she stood in the same spot reliving the situation until her cellphone rang, she was so caught up in her thoughts she actually barely heard it. Tears welled up in her eyes again but she sucked em back up, cleared her throat and answered her phone. "H-hello?" She said trying to sound as normal as possible. "Yo? You good? Why you sound like that?" Jesse joyful voice said coming through the phone. She could tell he was very excited and she didn't need to burden him with her stress. As simple as things seem with verbal abuse, its pretty serious. Certain things she just couldn't shake out of her head so she started believing it. "Ahh, I'm good just taking care of some last minute things with the caterer. I'm about to leave though, I got a hair appointment." She said once again reassuring him. Jesse knew Camela pretty good and he knew she was lying but didn't push the issue. "Iight, Jackson is in a meeting but he said text him if there's anything you need. I'll hit you up later sis." Jesse said hanging up before Camela could reply. She heard a woman in the background asking his opinion on a dress so it was obvious he was bringing a date, she just hoped it wasn't that stupid bitch Kristen. Camela locked up the office and headed out to meet her Uber. She wasn't comfortable driving in Miami just yet and she didn't want to bother Jackson for that and she was a woman so she could handle herself.

She searched on her Instagram for good hairstylist in Miami and finally found one. She wanted to try something new but yet, her. She stepped into the salon and went to the receptionist telling her that she had a appointment with Stacey. After being told to have a seat in the waiting area she pulled out her phone and began to occupy her time. She felt someone starring a hole on the side of her head, she looked up and saw no one really paying attention to her, she let the thought go when she heard her name being called. She followed the receptionist to a lady with long bone straight blonde weave, her skin tone was light and she had the pinkest lips and most beautiful hazel eyes. "Hey girl, I'm Stacey. Don't just stare that's rude." Stacey said smiling at her. Camela was very embarassed and she blushed really hard. She quickly sat down. "I'm Camela, sorry about that. Your eyes are beautiful." Camela complimented, she was never a hater and she wasn't about to start now. She gave props when it was deserved. Stacey only smiled and asked about Camela's hair. "I want something that would turn heads but not too crazy" Camela explained and Stacey nodded. She washed and dried Camela and started to work her magic. Camela didn't know what she was getting but she knew extentsions were being added and she saw a plum color. She didn't bother to keep questioning Stacey because it was obvious she was the superstar of the store because everyone that came in asked about her. Camela had hair all over her face so she couldn't put a face to the voices she heard but one conversation caught her ear.
