I'm placed in a small room, awaiting my mom. A small window lights up the wooden room,  reflecting off my green eyes. Looking at my reflection in a mirror in the corner, my eyes were glossy, my face sticky from tears. This didnt just happen.. no i didnt.. im still asleep in my be. Having my usual nightmares. Right? No, this wasnt a dream. This was real. My worst nightmare has come true. Thinking of those 12 year old girls, they were close to me when i didnt even know them. They didnt want to let go, and I didnt either. Letting go of those two girls hands, I know that was it.
Taking the palms of my hands, I wiped away the tears from my wet red cheeks.  Clenching my hands into fists, I wiped my eyes with the sides of my fists. A sniffle escaped from me as I took a small breath. Silence hung over the room. I wasnt ready for this. I'm only eleven, facing many older people in fighting to the death. I could die!  I hear the door open, seeing my mom be shoved int the room behind me.
"Five minutes." A voice simply said, the door closing over.
"Mommy!" I squeal, running over. She kneels down wrapping her arms aroud my body. Her hand behind my head, her fingers going through my blonde hair. I cry into her shoulder, her sleeve soon soaked in my tears. I can hear her sniffling, and feel her pulling me close to her.
"Sweetie, Im sorry." My mom whispered in my ear, her voice clearly choked up.
I say nothing wrapping my arms around her neck.
"Mommy.. I-i dont want to die." I choke into her shoulder. She just holds me.
"Youre not going to die." she says removing my arms and standing me infront of her so our eyes met. Her blue eyes were glossy, a small smile on her face.
"You are strong, Maddie. You have to do the best you can. Youre smart. Think before you do things. Protect yourself.. and run the fastest your little feet can run." She said putting her hand on the side of my face, dragging a piece of hair behind my ear. She then pulls me into another hug, burrying her beautiful face into my hair.
"I love you." She says teary eyed.
"I-I l-love you. T-oo." I say crying into once more. She get back to her feet, planting a kiss on my forhead. Right then a peacekeeper came in, grabbing my mom and pulling her out of the room.
"MOM!" I yelled, my fingers just dragging across her fingertips.
"Dont give up!" my mom said before the door closed over, leaving me in the darkness of the room. Alone once more.
No.. no no no!
I repeat in my mind, clasping my hands into my hair, yanking slightly. I then drop to my knees, the wood smacking against the bone. It didnt affect me. A little scrape wasnt going to be even compared to what I was going to get in a matter of days. My hands cover my eyes, a sob escaping my mouth.
I dont want to do this! I have to wake up!
But i wasnt asleep.
Placing my hands on the floor, tears rapidly dropped on my fingers and trailed to the floor.
After a few minutes of crying, I got back to my feet a peacekeeper instantly walking into the room and grabbing me out. I tried to catch balance when I was shoved forard toward Marcus, Atalia, and Tyson. All of them standing tall and firm as they walked down the hall. I walked with my fingers fiddling with eachother, and my eyes brimming with tears. My red face making it obvious that I was crying. Possibly like a 5 year old. Tyson glanced back at me, his eyes shows sympathy as he looked down at me. Him just looking at me made me shiver, and look away. I stare at my feet, as we stopped my eyes soon focus on a train track. The rumble beneath my feet, showed a train was coming. Before I knew it, a plain silver train roared on the tracks infront of me. My reflection repeating over and over in the windows, the train coming to a stop. The doors open in front of me, I just stayed still hesitant. Atalia and Marcus on the other hand just shoved past me.
"Move kid" Marcus grunted, shoving me out of the way accidently making me bump into Atalia who was on the other side of me. She shoves me back making me stagger to the side. She giggles, taking Marcus' hand as they walked into a different car. Tyson offers his hand to me. His hand coming toward my direction, made me run into the train out of fear. I scan around the train car, just plain and empty. Tyson gently brushes past me, doing a warm chuckle. Not a rude making in fun of chuckle. Just a 'Youre too cute' kind of chuckle. I hesitantly follow him, since the other two went the same way he did. They must know we're theyre going. Well like I said, they were past victors. The door was sliding closed. I quickly put my fingers between the door and the wall, pushing it open with a small grunt. I soon look in awe, at the cart I was in now. Food.. Food everywhere! Delicious food, deserts, drinks.. and some adults drinks. You know, wine and beer. That nasty stuff. Atalia and Marcus were sitting at one table holding hands and looking int eachothers eyes. Tyson alone at another table, looking out the window. I silently go over to a table, by myself and sit down on the booth. I jerk back a bit, the station soon zooming by as trees began going by the window at a fast pace. My green eyes pierce back at me, they were still glossy. Then another thing came into my reflection. Well not a thing, but a person.
Marcus.
