Tysons POV
*a few hours later*
The only sound that is heard is the chirping of crickets, thankfully. A canon hasn't gone off for the past hours that Maddie has been asleep and I was keeping watch. Mostly all the tributes were asleep by now, but of course, some take this opportunity to take advantage of the sleeping tributes and kill them. Some are also awake to keep watch of their group. The forest is dark and shadowy making me glad the Maddie was actually asleep. Any forest this dark will scare a child, especially if there are killers in the dark or wild animals. For the past hours, I have been thinking about getting an ally, and who would make a good ally that I can trust to be part of the group and to take care of Maddie. I did not know who since I didn't actually talk to any of the tributes while in training. I kind of just took care of myself, focused on myself and my training. Also focusing on Maddie's safety as well. While thinking back to training, a girl suddenly came to my mind. A girl with beautiful long ash brown locks for hair and stunning electric blue eyes. I did not know her name, but I did know her face. I have watched her from afar while training, and I don't know why I just couldn't get my eyes off her. The way her hair flew around her in a spiral when she turned around. Her eyes were beautiful, strong, and confident. The way she fought, her confident yells with each punch, hit, kick, throw. Everything about here was just entertaining. I could watch her all day. I sort of felt bad for her being in the games, she was definitely too beautiful to be out here in these woods fighting for her stunning life ahead of her. Ugh! If only I knew her name! Whatever it was, it had to be beautiful. I didn't see her on the hologram, so that did mean she was still alive somewhere out there.
Whoever she was, I knew she would make a great ally for me and Maddie. Like I said, I watched her during training and she was really sweet when she wasn't fighting. But when she is fighting, she is a vicious little thing, my gosh. She will not hesitate to stab someone. She is not a girl you would want to mess with. Then again, she was a past victor of a Hunger Games. You do not want to mess with anyone here. Yeah, she was a tough and confident fighter, but inside, I could tell she was a soft teddy bear. I also remember hearing her talking to another tribute during training. Her voice was soft as an angel, I just couldn't help but listen on to her conversation. I could not make out anything she was saying but I could remember one sentence that no one would probably expect from anyone in the quarter quell. Especially a girl. That line was
"I'm sorry, but I fly solo."
It was no shocker that somebody had already asked her to be an ally to their group, but luckily she goes solo. Anyone will benefit from that girl, damn. There are not enough words in this world to describe her strength and confidence. All I can say is, once you lay your eyes on her, you can not take them off, the best explanation I can give. After that thought and remembering her conversation my hope fell. She flew solo, which means she wouldn't join me and Maddie. Then again, she did seem like a sweet girl, maybe she would join us, seeing how young Maddie was. She was just a child after all.
